Good Earth Teas, previously an American tea company, is a subsidiary of Tata Tea Ltd, which is owned by Tata Group, a multinational corporation based in Mumbai, India.
Good Earth Teas originally developed a blend of black and herbal teas, for which it is best known. Good Earth specializes in flavored teas, including flavored black, green, rooibos, and herbal teas, many of which are modeled around the original Good Earth tea. Some of Good earth's teas contain artificial flavoring, some natural flavoring, and some are made exclusively out of tea and/or herbs. Some are certified organic. Good Earth Teas sells only teabag teas and no loose tea. The company also sells a line of wellness teas.
According to their website, Good Earth tea uses 75% solar energy in their factory, uses unbleached tea bags, with tags made from recycled material. The company has also removed plastic wrap from their boxes of tea, which reduces environmental impact.
