Joy's Teaspoon is a tea company, launched in April of 2010 by Naomi Rosen. In 2017 the company almost closed but decided instead to restructure, focusing on a smaller catalogue.
Joy's Teaspoon has undertaken a number of different projects to promote sustainability. Some of the company's teas and spices are organic and/or fair trade certified. The company uses recyclable metal tins and glass bottles for packaging, and uses shredded paper collected from local businesses for packaging and shipping. The company also uses recycled material as much as possible, and uses biodegradable cups and composts used tea leaves from tea tasting events.
Also, Joy's teaspoon donates 2% of their profits to Treesforachange.com, an organization that plants trees in national forests in the U.S. that have been damaged by wildfires.
