Organic Ginger Tumeric Herbal Tea from Trader Joe's

Style: Herbal Tea – Region: ?????

90 / 100 Aroma: 8/10 Flavor: 5/5 Value: 5/5
Nov. 6th, 2016

This is a very good tea. The teabag has fannings that infuse very quickly. The aroma and the lingering flavor have the ginger/turmeric spiciness -- which is wakening yet soothing. This makes a particularly good drink for a brisk fall day. Though the second steep takes longer, it's also very good --better than many tea ...

Pumpkin Spice Rooibos from Trader Joe's

Style: Flavored Rooibos – Region: Blend

97 / 100 Aroma: 10/10 Flavor: 5/5 Value: 4/5
Nov. 4th, 2016

Mmmmmm, now this is tea! If this was available loose leaf, it'd be perfect. The smell is delicious and the flavor is perfect -- a lovely balance between the spices and the rooibos. It's good on its own, but a cup of this is amazing with just a pinch or two of stevia added. It adds a smooth sweetness without overpowerin...

Wild Berries from Twinings

Style: Fruit (Herbal) Tea – Region: Blend

73 / 100 Aroma: 7/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 3/5
Oct. 19th, 2016

This solidly fruity, moderately robust tea isn't bitter or overly tart and has a pleasant juiciness. It's very inexpensive, so if you like fruit teas at all it's worth a shot. Like other Twinings tea bags, it infuses quickly but is good for only one cup. Overall, I like it, but it'd be much better if done loose leaf --...

Pure Peppermint from Twinings

Style: Peppermint Tea – Region: ?????

80 / 100 Aroma: 8/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 4/5
Oct. 10th, 2016

This isn't the strongest or brightest peppermint tea, but it is real smooth and it hits the spot. No bitterness is detectable. I like peppermint far more than spearmint, so I was happy to see this in my sister's cupboard when visiting her. I'm currently in the middle of gestational diabetes, so I'm just excited to be a...

Organic Mango & Chile Black Tea from Trader Joe's

Style: Flavored Black Tea – Region: Sri Lanka / Ceylon

90 / 100 Aroma: 8/10 Flavor: 5/5 Value: 4/5
Sep. 9th, 2016

This tea is unique and delicious when you're in the mood for something robust and fruity with a spicy kick. The tea pieces are pretty small (but not dust), so it infuses quickly. I steeped this for several minutes and it didn't turn bitter at all, which is excellent.

I really like this tea.

Wildberry Hibiscus (Loose) from Zhena's Gypsy Tea

Style: Herbal Tea – Region: ?????

93 / 100 Aroma: 10/10 Flavor: 5/5 Value: 3/5
Jun. 23rd, 2016

Berries and hibiscus tea go together so well. The bold, tart flavor is delicious, and the fruit cuts what might otherwise be sour by adding more flavor and sweetness. This is a very well balanced herbal tea, in my opinion. I've only tried this tea hot so far, but it sounds perfect for chilled teas too. My only complain...

Style: Hojicha – Region: Japan

90 / 100 Aroma: 8/10 Flavor: 5/5 Value: 5/5
Mar. 24th, 2016

This was surprisingly good. The flavor had a nice soothing aroma and taste in a "ah, this is the kind of food adults like" sort of way. It strikes me as a particularly good tea for certain brisk days.

The fact that I like it and that I got a decent size bag of loose leaf for about two and a half dollars makes it one...

73 / 100 Aroma: 7/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 4/5
Jan. 29th, 2016

I found packs of these in the house we moved into. The ginger is definitely most notable in the aroma before it's brewed, but I still taste it in the drink. It's flavor is strong but not potent, and very blended. No individual flavor really stands out. It has a rather creamy feel.

I don't know how effective probioti...

As someone very into fruity teas, I love this one. It's noticeably tart in a solidly pleasant way. Great when I'm in the mood for a strong caffeine free tea. If you like tropical herbal teas, this one is worth a shot.

Not bad for bagged Earl Grey. I added half and half, which mixed well. The flavor was solid without being bitter. Others commented that it IS better, so maybe the half and half I added helped with that?

57 / 100 Aroma: 6/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 3/5

This is a green tea with various herbs and spices added. In my mind teas supposed to be medicinal taste cluttered. The flavor isn't bad (lightly of vanilla and sweetish herbs), but it isn't for me. I tried this one because it was sent as a free sample.

Nov. 24th, 2015

This tea wasn't the worst, but it wasn't really for me. The aroma was better than the flavor. It's possible I over-steeped it, as it went a bit bitter in a distinctively green tea fashion. Basically, I like the idea of this tea better than its execution.

As others have noted, clove and pepper come through in this tea. Cinnamon and other flavors are subtle. I added sugar and milk and really liked it. In short, as a bagged tea this one is pretty solid.

Meh. It's not a badly done tea, but it's not a flavor I'm often into. The orange and herbaceousness both come through. Not bad if that's a taste mixture that appeals to you, but orange isn't my favorite fruit to drink hot. Still, the cup has grown on me a bit while I've been drinking it.

I'm not big on genmaichas, but the light baked rice flavor in this one is comforting. It's nice when I'm in the mood for something savory, but not bitter. No spiciness or sweetness, the flavor is uncomplicated in a way that's nice sometimes.

This tea is a great idea, but the execution needs to be better. Not that much flavor infused even in the first cup, but what I could taste and small was delightful and Christmasy. I bet I'd love the loose leaf version, but the bag version just isn't as amazing as it could be. *sigh*

White Orchard from Mighty Leaf Tea

Overpriced, but quite tasty. I'm enjoying this more than I do many flavored white teas. I can detect the tea without a problem, in contrast to the previous reviewers who felt the fruitiness to be overpowering. It held up to a second steeping well, though dust collected at the bottom of the cup.

Youthberry White Tea from Teavana

Tart, sweet, and fruity, this is a solid tea in my book. Its flavor is robust, so it's definitely for when you want something intense. I like it as a peppy breakfast tea when I'm not in the mood for a chai or other flavored black tea. Unfortunately, the tea bag didn't hold up to a second steep at all.

Though I can taste the chocolate, it's cardamom that comes through as the strongest flavor. I like cardamom, but it may be too much for some people. Weird, since i don't see that spice listed. Still, the aroma is spicy and pleasant.

A solid pumpkin spice tea. It has a distinct creaminess that I alternately like and then feel is a bit much or slightly off. It works best with an extra amount of tea.

It'd get a better rating if it was more affordable, but it's worth trying.

Pretty good! I got this at a Starbucks and had them add sugar and cream (well, half and half). It worked really well together and provided a nice caffeine jolt. If let steep too long it develops not so much a bitterness as a sharpness, so I'd keep it to only a couple of minutes. The second cup was also solid, though a...

I really, really like this one. It's a great chai that works the chocolate flavoring just right. The cardamom is the most noticeable spice for the first couple cups, with the cinnamon showing up later. In both cases they were very smooth, not overwhelming or out of place.

This also works well whether you drink it pl...

Style: Green Tea – Region: Hubei, China

70 / 100 Aroma: 7/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 3/5
Jul. 14th, 2015

Not bad, but a bit astringent (almost bitter) to my taste. It has a refreshing quality, too. This tea reminds me a lot of the teas I drank while living in Japan (though it's a Chinese tea).

Certainly worth giving a try. I always like the quality of Rishi teas.
