White teas can be very subtle, and by the time they are processed shipped, stored, blended and sprayed with flavorings, it would be hard for them to assert any flavor. That is a problem with most of Republic of Teas flavored whites, including this one that I received from a well meaning friend.

I received a tin of 36 bags, and have only managed to use about 6, as this has such a faint taste of cinnamon and cardamom. I wish there were more of an aroma, and that the taste wasn't so mild.

I think this blend strikes a good balance between spearmint and peppermint, with both noticeable and neither overpowering the other. Good tea for breakfast. Not much aroma, but decent taste, and it's strong. Weirdly, it beats Teavana's several strong black teas hands down. Tastier. I like tea that tastes like tea, not dishwater.

I was curious to try this to see if it was noticeably different from Genmaicha from the mainstream Japanese brands. It did seem a bit different.

Aroma comes from added flavors, not from the tea leaves, really. The flavor is basically spearmint and lemongrass, with little green tea flavor to be found. Much lighter than a pure chamomile tea, the lemongrass is very noticeable. I'd say that this is more like a lemon herbal tea with a hint of chamomile than the other way around. There's a slight strangeness in the aroma, especially in the finish, it's almost a suggestion of mushrooms, hard to describe.
