When seeing the price and packaging of these Foojoy teas, my initial impression was that they must be low quality at such a price point. Like my experience with Tenren, this initial impression has turned out to be wrong.
This Longjing is a fine representative of the style in a teabag. The tea brews to a golden color...

The liqueur is a deep amber tone. There are a couple of leaves left in the cup. There is a smell of cooked grass, sort of like leeks, and a soft hint of caramel in the smell.
This doesn’t seem to be a super complex set of tones to this tea. That doesn’t make this a bad tea though, it is just a sort of basic tea....

As a fan of pre-rain Dragon Well I am always anxious to find one with a good flavor for a reasonable price. This one is a great balance of flavor and aroma for a very good price considering it is a pre-Qing Ming tea.
I keep this one on hand throughout the year and look forward to the new harvest.

I loved this tea although I'm not usually crazy about green. It avoided the planty, health-food associations I usually make with green teas. Instead, there was a lovely, rather robust fragrance, almost floral. This is probably the one green that I will stock in my tea cupboard.

This was a very gentle green tea. Delicate aroma with a hint of toastiness; less grassiness than other dragonwells I've tried. While this pales in comparison to loose dragon well teas that I've tried, it's definitely true to the style. The low price and simple packaging of the teabags are deceptive...this tea retains a lot of complexity. It brews a rich golden color and is quite aromatic.
