Well this is not a chai or spiced tea thats corresponds to Masala chai.

The tea has no base. For a perfect chai or spiced Tea or Masala chai base should be always Assam Second flush CTC leaves with less contents of spices like ginger, clove, black pepper, cinnamon, green cardomom and tinges of safron

I love this tea. Definitely my favourite spiced, bagged tea. It reminds me of a chai but isn't as strong as some I've tried, which is perfect for me. It's cinnamony and tastes like Christmas.

Christmas Tea from Twinings

The smell was barely existent but the taste is strong and filled with delightful Cinnamon. Christmas tea is really just a Chai Tea, but I love Chai so this is perfect. It’s ironic but recently, after trying some Chais, almost all dissappoint. I first found Chai years ago in teabag form and swooned. I have since tried...

60 / 100 Aroma: 9/10 Flavor: 2/5 Value: 3/5
Dec. 21st, 2011

I was excited about this one from the description, and when I opened the bag, the gorgeous, strong smell enticed me. I was looking for an Adagio tea that would suit my cravings for a good Orange Spice, and also my love for Chai and spicy teas.

Sadly the tea was much milder than the scent. Without sugar it was basic...

It's funny but I didn't even notice when ordering a sample of this that it had coconut. I noticed it as a mild taste with each sip. I'm not the biggest coconut fan but it blended smoothly with the chai and other flavorings and was a nice treat. I prefer the traditional Masali but this is a refreshing change. Fortunatel...

Dec. 10th, 2011

I don't like many mass produced teas, and Bigelow's over packaging is a major turn off, but I must say I do find myself drinking this quite a bit. Cinnamon-y but not too strong, I take it with whole milk and sugar.

it tastes lovely, and i enjoy it quite a bit, but i wouldn't call it "ultra" spice. the tea itself is delightful, but i was expecting it to be spicier with a name like that... it was a teensy bit disappointing.

I like this chai tea. The "ultra" has more spices in it and makes for a better tea (I like my chai spicy and make it with milk). I haven't been able to find this in stores lately though.

Strong coconut aroma and taste - not much of the other spices gets through. I like coconut so this was ok for me but I prefer cinnamon & clove type chai's better so don't buy this often.

I find that the Tazo Chai tends to have too much pepper flavor for me. Of all the chai's I have tried this has the strongest pepper taste and I just don' like it. I prefer cinnamon and cloves.

This is also my favorite chai tea and I have tried many, many varieties. I get my tea from Whole Foods stores and also get a large-to-go while I am shopping. I found this tea very weak. It tasted good; overall the flavor was smooth and the cinnamon was nice, but even when I brewed it until the water was cold, it was weak. Eh. I'll probably not buy it again.

Lightly smoky, like the base tea contains some Lapsang souchong...I initially notice the smoke more than the spice, but I also notice a lot of clove and ginger, and some cinnamon. I don't really notice the vanilla or cardamom--I always think you can add more cardamom as it's my favorite spice.

A very interesting tw...

Aroma mostly of vanilla and spice, with nutmeg and cinnamon dominant. Full-bodied, and with some strong black tea character, but with the spice dominating. Slightly tannic finish. I like the flavor more than the aroma.

I'm not crazy about this one, the creamy, vanilla qualities I find a bit strange. I also like ...

This is an excellent chai with a very good balance of spices. It has a nice, rich flavor that lingers for a long time. I added a little milk and sugar to mine and it tastes just like a chai latte you'd get at a coffee shop (probably because it's smoother and more full-bodied than a lot of teabag chais). This is one ...

May. 15th, 2011

I steeped this tea for 6 minutes to make it strong enough. When I first tasted it, I thought it was a little too tangy for my taste, and that the combination of chai spices with white tea was a little weird. I can't taste the spices much, though, for a chai tea. I added cream and sugar. After I had been drinking it for...

This is not what I was expecting. It doesn't seem very much like chai, but it has this sweet aroma that reminds me of hot mulled cider. The flavor tastes almost repulsive to me, like flour, or some spice I don't recognize that reminds me of bad-tasting cookie dough. Kind of bitter and sweet, but in a way that clashes. ...

When I first tried this tea, I thought it was reallly good. I wasn't expecting it because I'm not a big fan of green tea, but I do love chai. I thought it was really good for a chai tea. But it takes a really long time to brew. Now that I've been drinking it for a while, I don't like the flavor so much anymore. I don't...
