The leaves are small and tightly twisted/rolled and give off quite a smokey aroma, which dissapates as the tea brews. What a lovely aroma of fresh, woodsy, sweet florals. Both the dry and wet leaves give off this great scent. Oh, what a lovely tea! Earthy, with a heavy influence of red-wine cask, a touch of smoke, a hint of acid. And that's just the smell of the dry leaves and brewing tea. Winey, earthy, sharp, elegant. Just a super tea. At 5 minutes, it has some rough edges, but a small shot of cream took care of those very nicely.

Hear me roar! I can't tell if I like it or not, but it is definitely smokey. But it is also very smooth and mellow. I don't think those unfamiliar with LS would like it. It's very good, but somehow, for me, the smoke is a bit wrong.
