The liquor is a pale honey/copper color and has some similar smells that were in the dry leaf, which was a savory smell. The wet leaf really had more of a black tea smell to it, which was reminicent of a ceylon tea to me, smelling tanin like and a tiny bit malty. i like this tea a lot, it tastes a little roasted,slightly vegetal, and spicy, but it satisfying. I steeped this tea in my yixing tea pot for a second time and was blown away by some very strong floral notes in the aroma that went undetected when the tea was brewed in a regular porcelain pot. Mmm! What wonderful tea. I really enjoyed the complexity of the honey tones, the tobacco notes as well as some forest flavors. A great tea!
