The aroma of this tea is fairly mild, on the lightly toasted spectrum of Houjicha, blending a faint sweetness with autumn leaves and a touch of loam. Towards the finish there is a blend of nutty and toasted seaweed, giving it a savory, umami finish.

The aroma is sweet and green, fresh grass and kelp with a touch of artichoke cover the vegetal end. Chestnut and very faint citrus notes cover the mild sweetness. This tea is very much so the 'ideal' of a Sencha, basically it smells exactly like you expect a Sencha to smell like.

The aroma is delicious! Vegetal with notes of artichoke and a hint of chestnut with an underlying hint of kelp. There is also a sweetness that just mixes perfectly with the other aromas. Once brewed it takes on a woodsy aroma with oddly, a hint of lime. It certainly smells like stems and I like that.
