Wild Berry Hibiscus from Mighty Leaf Tea

Style: Fruit (Herbal) Tea – Region: Blend

Feb. 22nd, 2017

Served at De La Coeur Cafe in Wilmington, DE (I love that place by the way, please do check it out if you're ever there).

I normally don't like hibiscus blends (think Celestial Seasonings' Red Zinger) because they are too sour for me, but I enjoyed this one. I brewed it in a big fat mug and only steeped it around 3...

A very nice tea. You can definitely taste both the chocolate and the raspberry. Good enough not to have to add sweetener.

I really enjoyed this one! It was a gift from my roommate, so thank you!

The dried fruits in this blend were intensely aromatic, just opening the bag resulted in an explosion of aroma, mostly tropical fruit with hints of citrus, the smell strongly suggests sweetness, and there's a hint of spice in the aroma. The in...

This is a solid herbal tea. I like the mix of flavors with the rooibos, though orange isn't my favorite flavor to have in a hot tea. For this reason, other flavor mixes work better for me. This is fruity, floral, sweet, and refreshing.

Very nice tea. Fruit forward in the aroma and flavor but a floral note lingers. I added a spoon of rock sugar to bring out some of the nuance. Certainly not inexpensive as a teavana product but I'd recommend.

Pineapple Kona Pop Herbal Tea from Teavana

I go through this stuff fairly quickly. It's sweet but not sugary, aromatic but benign enough to be useful in a number of different drinking contexts, and it's fruity-- fruitily tart, one might say, but neither sour nor aggressive. Well-balanced, one might say.

In the summer, I cold-brew it in 24 oz. mason jars like...

53 / 100 Aroma: 5/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 3/5
Dec. 16th, 2016

The tea bag smells overwhelmingly like cinnamon and nothing else.

Upon brewing, the cinnamon is not quite as domineering, but it's still the principle aroma. I can smell the clove, but it's a struggle to notice the base rooibos. This herbal tea is initially smooth and easy to drink; there's little bitterness or as...

Since several folks reading this site may travel to Europe at some point and be tempted to buy some in the ubiquitous SPAR supermarkets, let this be a warning.

Upon seeing this on the tea shelves, I thought, "European, herbal, organic...must be good, right?" Since they won't permit customers to tear open a box an...

Nov. 22nd, 2016

This is my first experience with a Turmeric blend, I was really more interested in the ginger quality, so I have limited context in which to review this tea.

The aroma of the dry leaf is a playful blend of ginger and citrus, which excited me a great deal.

There the excitement ended. The infusion itself was decen...

Mmmmmm, now this is tea! If this was available loose leaf, it'd be perfect. The smell is delicious and the flavor is perfect -- a lovely balance between the spices and the rooibos. It's good on its own, but a cup of this is amazing with just a pinch or two of stevia added. It adds a smooth sweetness without overpowerin...

Wild Berries from Twinings

Style: Fruit (Herbal) Tea – Region: Blend

Oct. 19th, 2016

This solidly fruity, moderately robust tea isn't bitter or overly tart and has a pleasant juiciness. It's very inexpensive, so if you like fruit teas at all it's worth a shot. Like other Twinings tea bags, it infuses quickly but is good for only one cup. Overall, I like it, but it'd be much better if done loose leaf --...

This is the best ginger tea I have ever tasted. It is strong in flavor and is 100% ginger root. There are no added flavors or ingredients. The only way to get ginger tea like this would be to grate the ginger root and boil it.

Citrus Mint from Tea Forte

I am not a fan of mint teas - but the citrus/orange-y notes in Tea Forte's cute little sachet made this one palatable. I recommend steeping longer than 3-4 minutes and then chilling and service over ice. I did not care for it hot. As with all Tea Forte - you are paying for packaging and they make great gifts.

Smelled like cinnamon, but didn't taste spicy at all - it was mostly tart, which I am not a big fan of. I like fruity teas, but I prefer being able to tell what kind of fruit I'm tasting, not just sort of muddy random fruit flavor. I didn't toss any of what I bought, but I wouldn't buy it again.

I get the sense that other people would enjoy this more than I did.

Brews up a mellow cup with a mild chocolate aroma, reminding me a lot of halloween candy as a kid, but less artificial. It's not the richest aroma, but it becomes a little more complex on drinking. I can notice the rooibos, but it's not dominant. ...

Ah, Starbucks - you and your mergers & acquisitions. This is the new Passion tea (super fruity and a pretty color)they use in their ice tea and tea/lemonade beverages now. I prefer the green - but this is kid friendly - my 11 year old like it - and a nod to the Teavana purchase. Overpriced if you buy it but the cup ...

Nov. 27th, 2015

Despite sitting around my kitchen for some time, the "100% ginger root" in this tea bag still seems fresh and enjoyable. It has that distinct spicy ginger aroma and I can feel it going to work on my sore throat, so I'm feeling convinced that this product is what it's advertised to be. If you're trying ginger tea as a...

A great herbal tea when you crave something tart. I love its strong fruitiness. The aroma has a floral accent as well. An excellent cup as far as I'm concerned. :-)

I had it iced from a coffee shop. Because it was cold I drank it very quickly. It was wonderfully refreshing.
