Picture of Licorice Spice Herbal Tea

Licorice Spice Herbal Tea from Stash Tea

Style: Wellness Tea / Medicinal Tea – Region: ?????

53 / 100 Aroma: 3/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 4/5

Sweet with little spice, the description is apt in calling this a 'dessert-like tea.' But I find little to recommend this tea over Yogi's Egyptian Licorice; the licorice flavor is more full in the latter, while the purported spice in this blend seems scarce to exist. I wouldn't recommend it.

Sweet but not overly so, this tea has a compelling but mild flavor to which I'm willing to return but less willing to purchase. If you like sweet herbal blends but don't care for the candy-like taste that tends to come with lower-end fruit blends, this might be an excellent choice.

Organic Lemon Echinacea Throat Coat® from Traditional Medicinals

Style: Wellness Tea / Medicinal Tea – Region: Blend

47 / 100 Aroma: 3/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 3/5
Dec. 20th, 2014

Licorice is the dominant flavor in this tea, but it's not particularly strong. I like the flavors of both lemon and echinacea, but I can't taste the lemon at all and I can hardly detect any echinacea. If you thought the regular Throat Coat was too strong a tea, perhaps you'll enjoy this one; if you prefer your tea stro...

Is it fair, strictly speaking, to compare a bagged ginger tea to the tea you produce using fresh ginger?

(Probably.)

This is a good ginger tea that carries itself well among its bagged compatriots. I think it could do with a little more spice, but overall it's very good. It does what it's supposed to do. I like t...

St. John's Wort is the only ingredient in this tea, and I like its taste, but if this is something you enjoy I think you'd be better off buying Yogi Blues Away. There's very little leaf in the teabags, which themselves are fragile and prone to tearing. I tried this brand because I hoped it might be better value than th...

Okay, maybe I just have strange taste in tea.

I think this tastes awesome, and--as per my standard--I'm happy to drink it 'just because'. I tend to drink it a lot when I'm nervous about getting sick--I've developed an almost Pavlovian sort of response at this point--but I don't tend to drink anything bad-tasting for...

This tea is one of my unambiguous favorites. I love its spice, and I love the way that the flavors of the different herbs layer upon and overlap one another. I'm happy to drink this blend at any time and any occasion, but particularly in winter. (In summer I tend to favor a cold brew, but I don't think herbal teas tend...

Licorice. Licorice, licorice, licorice. This is the strongest of the licorice teas I've tried to date, which I appreciate because I prefer tea that has an assertive--although not necessarily strong--flavor. But I would agree with Alex with respect to the sweetness--this is not a tea that should be consumed with a sweet...

As usual, I'm not one to believe in the supposed 'medicinal effects' of this tea, but it's one of my favorites for the way it tastes. This is a flavor that lingers, and one which I find interesting enough to hold my attention, but--uniquely--seems to contain no off-putting bite.

I don't believe in the healing powers of echinacea tea and I don't plan to until I see some peer-reviewed studies confirming it, but this tea nonetheless tastes great and is wonderful for clearing the head.

I'm not one to really believe in the efficacy of herbal remedies, but this tea is something that my parents have always offered to me when I'm sick and at this point, whether or not it actually works it's become a comfort.

That said, I wouldn't drink it if it didn't taste good, and sometimes I brew it for nothing bu...
