So, giving the leaves a sniff and whoa, hello Orange Julius! In case you live in part of the world where those don't exist (I am so sorry) it is a mix of ice cream and orange juice for a super creamy cup of yum...you can also say it smells like orange sherbet. I found the aroma to be very green, like bamboo leaves and herbaceous like dill weed. There is also earthiness and the aroma of baked bread with a slight undertone of sweetness. The ginseng is an odd smelling herb, it gives a slight muskiness to the already herbaceous aroma.

The aroma of this tea is a fantastic blend of the different ingredients in this tea, no one aroma is dominant and they are well balanced. It is nothing short of exotic. The brewed tea is equally delicious blending floral, citrus, saffron, and frankincense.

The taste is delicious mixing honey and fruity sweetness wi...

Almond Oolong from Adagio Teas

Style: Flavored Oolong – Region: Taiwan / Formosa

53 / 100 Aroma: 4/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 3/5
Dec. 2nd, 2012

The initial aroma of the leaves is unmistakably almond, sadly I do not smell any Oolong at first and that made me a bit hesitant. After brewing the smell of almond subsides and the oolong shows itself. The taste is very mild, light almond and Oolong flavors for an overall subtle tea.
