This tea is among the best decaffeinated pure black teas that I've tried, whether loose-leaf or from a tea bag.
Full-bodied, dark, strong but smooth and somewhat mellow. There is a vaguely keemun-like fruitiness.
I find it interesting that Novus also carries a caffeinated version of this tea, it allows me to compare them directly.
This tea is noticeably less complex, and somewhat less bitter (and milder tasting) as well. But the differences are not as large as I'd expect.
I normally avoid decaf teas, but if I were going to drink one, I think this would be a fine choice.
