This is a very complex and unusual tea, luckily not in a bad way. Introduced to me as having 'an acquired taste' I can certainly agree.
The aroma is a great mix of spicy ginger and earthy turmeric that just floods your olfactory glands with a punch of spice. It is intense!
The flavor of this bright yellow tea is also earthy and spicy. The ginger compliments the turmeric very well. Sadly I do not taste any of the base tea, just the spices. I can also taste a little bit of licorice root (the actual root and not flavoring) and it is very pleasant, but it is more of an aftertaste than a main flavor.
This tea has a great warming effect when drinking it, even if it is cold, very cleansing feeling.
