When I was a teenager, black tea with a slice of lemon was what you were served in most restaurants around Miami when you asked for a cup of tea. Nothing fancy, usually not anything very memorable, and usually some off name brand that the restaurant bought at a deep discount. It was more of something just to accompany your meal, nothing to savor.

I mention this because my rating of Twinings Lemon Twist tea is much influenced by nostalgic memories. This is not a great tea, and probably not so memorable, but it gives you a good black tea base (origins unknown) mixed with natural lemon flavor. It goes for about $3 for 20 bags, which is dirt cheap, and its individually wrapped bags stay fresh and are great to toss in your bag when you travel.

The aroma is definitely of lemon, not tea, but smells very natural--not like teas flavored artificially that smell of plastic or alcohol. I love my high end teas, but this one is a nice affordable everyday brew that brings back good memories.
