PoorBadNot Worth Paying For

A disappointing blend that just didn't seem to work. This was one of three samples my parents received as a gift. I had the opportunity to sample them recently.

One of my mild pet peeves is when a company labels something "cherry blossom" and then it tastes like cherry fruit, rather than blossoms.

I opened the bag and there was an intense, almost cloying smell of cherry fruit, not cherry blossoms. "Blossom" might have a nice ring to it but I think it's a bit of dishonesty in labelling to throw in the term just because of the pleasant sound of the word, when the tea is actually flavored like the fruit.

Brews up an interesting cup. Rose is much more dominant in the flavor and aroma. Fairly bitter, and I was very careful to use lower-temperature water. I think the bitterness may be coming from the rose petals.

Rose is such a strong flavor, and the cherry flavoring was also very dominant, and I found it hard to taste the base tea at all. I do like rose, and I think rose could blend with cherry (fruit or blossoms) in a flavored tea, but I think something would need to be different.

I did not like this one and would not recommend it. It's probably my least favorite tea that I've tried from Capital Teas so far--this company has seemed to generally have much higher quality than this blend.
