Slowly but surely, I'm realizing that rooibos may be my favorite base for flavored teas. The aroma of this one before being brewed is intensely of blueberry, which I love. The flavor of the drink is both more subtle and more balanced. For me, this makes it a solid anytime tea. I brewed it fairly long, six minutes, but suspect it would benefit from even longer. The more dense the flavor, the better. The color is a sort of burnt auburn. It tastes like the blueberry adds a pleasantly light astringency, creating a more complex mouthful than most.
My only complaint is that the second steep drops off the intensity dramatically. It both looks and tastes weaker, which obviously isn't my preference.
