I LOVE Darjeeling - and next to a jasmine green, a darjeeling is the PERFECT cup for me - especially in the AM. That said, Republic's loose version is a terrific value. Can't guarantee that it is first flush - but it is a very good value and I enjoy this one and have purchased it twice ($13 for a tin). Now comes in a bagged version as well. (And a few "biodynamic" darjeelings have been released. If you like a good darjeeling, don;t forget about Republic of Tea.
