Commercial Description

Grown and manufactured in Hunan province, this is a true "lotus heart" tea that closely resembles the first-class dragon well from Zhejiang but deserves to be appreciated on its own considerable merits. The blade-shaped leaf is amazingly uniform and consists exclusively of buds. This beautiful Hunan Lotus Heart has a buttery mouth-feel and lightly vegetative and delicate yet powerful flavor and aroma.

Brewing Instructions: (from Imperial Tea Court)

Best prepared with water at 65-70°C. Use 3-4 grams of tea per 8 oz. of water and steep for 1-3 minutes, or use lower-temperature water (55-60°C) and steep for five minutes. A longer infusion time will produce more intensity and astringency; a lower water temperature and/or a longer steeping time will reveal more subtle flavors and aromatics.
