I don't know exactly where this tea comes from, but it was more like a Chinese green tea than it was like other green teas I've had from the Himalayan region (Nepal, Darjeeling, etc.), although it definitely had some of the vegetal tones in the aroma characteristic of these teas.
The flavor was smooth, a little bitterness and astringency, but not much of either, and only a hint of sourness. The cup was a light green color. Having brewed a number of himalayan greens myself, I will say that it can be quite difficult to get the temperature of the water right, and Teavolve brewed this one just right temperature-wise. They allowed us to control the steeping time.
I was impressed by this tea: it had fewer of the vegetal tones that I don't care much for, that often dominate green teas from this region. I'd be interested to learn more about where exactly it comes from and any more information about what makes this particular tea special.
