I would give this tea a good rating. I started drinking it yesterday for my lost voice, sore throat and cold, and three cups and 12 hours later I could talk again. The ginger flavor and aroma must be reasonably strong-- I can still detect it even while ill. Like most real ginger teas, this one burns a little going down-- though maybe I notice it more because my throat was irritated to begin with. I added two teaspoons of locally-sourced honey and some lemon juice to make it more palatable (straight-up ginger is a pretty intense flavor on its own.) Overall, I'm satisfied with the medicinal properties of this tea, it seems to have made a big improvement in how I feel in a pretty small amount of time.

This tea was disappointing. It didn't have the brightness or pungency that I was expecting, and that I have had in other simple, pure ginger "teas" (the only ingredient in this one was ginger -- no actual tea). Since the "gingery" quality was dull, the lack of any other flavor to compliment it was very notable. There isn't much more to say than ... meh.
UPDATE: It's still not my favorite, but this drink is far more palatable if you use two tea bags and add a small bit of honey.
