I had this at a restaurant - and it is a mid-to-strong peppermint without being too strong/sharp. Not a candy-cane tea - might even have spearmint in there too? Can't tell. Nope. Just checked the Bigelow website - it's 100% peppermint, which, indded, you can grow yourself. Very fresh tasting and deep, dark (much darker than other Darjeelings I have had) and steeped up quickly. I got 2 infusions from the bag in a large pot of water. I am a Darjeeling drinker, so I was fine with this. I definitely enjoyed this tea, but I found that it seemed to lack a robustness that I personally enjoy. I think this is a tea that would be suitable to the novice Chinese Green Tea drinker. I liked the aroma and I enjoyed the taste after I added some sugar in the tea. Aroma is pleasing...the pomegranate is noticeable but not cloying; it is more natural tasting than other pomegranate flavored blends that I've tried.
