It’s super relaxing and I feel good when I drink it. This tea is not astringent or bitter at all which I like! I really love how this tea tastes! The flavor is hard to describe, it has a pleasant herbal and slightly floral taste. That said, this tea does provide a unique experience. I can't really say much about the aroma... it's herbal for sure, but I can't really place what it reminds me of. The flavor isn't what I expected at all. It does taste like what I'd expect from basil (though I don't know the difference between basil and holy basil), but it's a bit on the sweet side; almost tastes like it has mint in it. I'll reserve judgement on the health benefit...

Review of Tulsi Turmeric Ginger by Tchuggin' Okie

Well, I do live in Oklahomi, so I doggone should try a tea called Tulsi. :-) Since I had to add this tea to the list, I'll assume it was a fairly recent addition to Organic India's product line, thereby hitching the brand to the turmeric-tea faddy wagon.

I probably should have tried a basic Tulsi tea first to learn better what that herb tastes like by itself, but this is what was available at a relative's house. In aroma and taste, the ginger strongly dominates, and I hardly can taste the turmeric ...

Review of Original Tulsi Tea by b22johansen

This was my first experience with Tulsi or Holy Basil. I was extremely impressed. The aroma is warm and welcoming with hints of earth, cinnamon, and spices. The flavor is reminiscent of a spearmint tea with spices and perhaps cardamon and cloves. The flavor is well rounded and very enjoyable.

The ginger and tulsi basil are spicy and prominent. It finishes clean with a lemon after taste, which is tangy but takes the spicy volume down a notch.

Bonus points, drop a shot of makers mark whiskey into your cup for a simple, but delicious hot toddy.

Review of Lemon Ginger Tulsi Tea by Alex Zorach

Very strong tasting, and completely dominated by the ginger. Brews up a hazy yellow color, with lots of dust sinking to the bottom.

Peppery, even fiery. The lemon has only a very subtle presence, most evident in the aftertaste. The tulsi is also backgrounded, but is more noticeable than the lemon, especially if I'm looking for it. I mainly notice the spicy qualities of the tulsi, and I think it also imparts some depth and body.

The tea bag is wonderfully aromatic, smelling strongly of rose, almost intoxicating (even before brewing) and suggestive of sweetness.

Although this blend contains Stevia, thankfully it's only a dash...I only notice minimal sweetness. I notice there are a lot of ingredients in the list for this blend...I can't really detect the lemon myrtle though. I mainly notice rose...but the rose is a little edgy.

It feels like this blend was well selected and prepared with love. In exchange for ingesting this well balanced tea, my skin begins to show a reduction in redness and irritation from alcohol, stress, and cosmetics.

Each teabags are stapled, which I'm mindful to avoid, since I feel the metal effects the taste of the tea.

Review of Lemon Ginger Tulsi Tea by willow1584

I am not a huge fan of ginger, but ginger is good for an uneasy tummy. I do like Tulsi's other health benefits, so having a ginger Tulsi tea can be very helpful to some temporary conditions.

When I drink this tea, I don't taste much lemon. Really, the only thing I can taste is very strong, spicy ginger. If you really love ginger, you'd likely enjoy this tea quite a lot!

When I have a cup of this one, I don't use much water because a big cup gets to be too much spicy ginger.

Review of Original Tulsi Tea by willow1584

I keep Tulsi tea around for it's health properties, but the Original isn't my favorite. It's too grassy to be a flavor of it's own, I do not care for grassy/earthy flavors as a whole. This tea works better when lemon is added.

I do like how it helps calm nerves and reduce stress when consumed.

Review of Chai Masala Tulsi Tea by Amanda

The aroma on this Chai is delightful! A mix of earthiness, peppery, cloves, and something I am not familiar with which I am assuming it is the Tulsi.

The taste is also quite good, the masala blend is well balanced and the base tea is very mild. I really like the herby taste of the tea and think it blends well with the spices and the assam. Usually I am not a huge fan of herbal teas but this blend is very soothing.

Review of Green Tea Tulsi Tea by Kelsey

This tea wasn't exactly what I was expecting when I tried it for lunch the other day. I was surprised by its strong spicy smell, and from the strength of the smell, how weak the tea was.

Compared to other Tulsi teas I've had, this one was more aromatic. The flavor itself reminded me of a regular green tea, mild without much flavor.

The flavor is kind of bland - I had to brew it for a long time (7 minutes). I can't taste the black tea. Although I still wasn't crazy about this blend (I strongly prefer the black tea version from Organic India, India Breakfast), this blend definitely exceeded my expectations.
