Opening the jar unleashes a powerful, creamy blast of chai aroma, which was mouth-watering for me in anticipation of the taste. Sometimes I open it just to take a whiff; this stuff would make an excellent Christmastime potpourri if it didn't brew up such a richly delicious beverage.

My wife said she could smell the brewed tea well from halfway across the room; to me that's a mark of suitable potency. The flavor wa...

Review of Coconut Matcha by Tchuggin' Okie

Setting aside the blatant commercial appeal to hipster New Age hocus-pocus in the labeling's verbiage and art, the composition of this tea showed promise on the shelf. I like coconut a lot, and have come to tolerate matcha-infused green tea, so this looked like it was worth a try when I saw it discounted at Sprouts.

Quality-wise, it was. The dry-bag aroma offered an expected overlay of ricey matcha and modest coconut. Curiously, and happily, the coconut flavor (and subsequent wet-bag aroma) were co...

Review of Wildberry Hibiscus (Loose) by Brytta Sóþword

Berries and hibiscus tea go together so well. The bold, tart flavor is delicious, and the fruit cuts what might otherwise be sour by adding more flavor and sweetness. This is a very well balanced herbal tea, in my opinion. I've only tried this tea hot so far, but it sounds perfect for chilled teas too. My only complaint is that it doesn't hold up as well to multiple infusions as most loose teas. The first cup is by far the most flavorful and delicious. The second cup is notably weaker.

Review of Gypsy Rose by båggå

Being very fond of the rose flavour, I have tried many different brands of tea with rose petals, and this is the best I have found so far. The rose aroma is strong, without being overly perfumed or artificially sweet. The taste balances perfectly between the black tea and the rose petals, bringing forth the best in both. As a dessert you can sniff the empty cup for the lovely rose smell! Plus for fair trade and organic product, and box from recycled metal.

Review of Coconut Chai Black by ArtzGirl

Love this tea! Outstanding aroma and taste. This is a bit more chai than coconut, but it is very good tea. This tea has a warming effect and is great on slightly colder days or evenings.

Review of Cacaoberry Green Tea by willow1584

I was very interested to try this tea, as cocoaberry was a new flavor in teas for me.

It had a nicely smooth flavor, which I enjoyed the most. There was also a lovely after-taste which lingered of smooth cocoa. Very pleasant,

I tasted a bit of the green tea and it hinted at bitterness, but it was kept very minimum by the rest of the flavorings.

Overall it's not a wildly impressive cup of tea, but I fine it enjoyable on a cold day now and then.

Review of Cacaoberry Green Tea by Alex Zorach

A balanced but somewhat muddled tea. Brews a brownish-orange cup with a greenish tinge. Flavor is mild and smooth. Aroma is weak at first, but upon drinking, there's a strong fruitiness that emerges. I don't notice much of the base green tea, but the rooibos is definitely present.

Interesting to try, but unimpressive.

The website boasts "Top-Tier Sencha Sencha" but I am suspicious: I see a generous quantity of leaf in the sachet, and if this were top-tier sencha, I think I'd be able to notice it ...

Review of Bed & Breakfast (formerly Breakfast Bliss) by Alex Zorach

An average strength black tea, this did not scream "breakfast" to me. More sour than bitter. Nondescript aroma. Not bad, but not great either.

This did not stand out to me relative to any of the mainstream black teas on the market, yet it is significantly pricier.

Review of Coconut Chai Black by Sylvia

This is not what I was expecting. It doesn't seem very much like chai, but it has this sweet aroma that reminds me of hot mulled cider. The flavor tastes almost repulsive to me, like flour, or some spice I don't recognize that reminds me of bad-tasting cookie dough. Kind of bitter and sweet, but in a way that clashes. I love coconut, but I couldn't taste the coconut flavor much. It didn't blend very well. I drank it with cream and sugar.

Review of Fire Light Chai (Fireside Chai) by Ganna

This tea has a nice aroma with very strong scents of ginger and cloves. The most dominant flavors are ginger and cinnamon. There are other flavors as well, but there doesn't seem to be any strong flavor behind all the spices to stand up to the ginger. Overall it is all right, but the strength of the ginger is a little too much for me.

Review of Raspberry Earl by Ganna

This is a very enjoyable tea for when I want something a little more unusual than regular Earl Grey. The raspberry flavor is not overwhelming, but adds enough fruitiness that I think of this as a fruity tea rather than a normal black tea. I do wish the flavor of the Earl Grey (bergamot?) came through a little stronger, but all in all I really like this tea.

Review of Raspberry Earl by Alex Zorach

I had the opportunity to sample this tea at a friend's house.

I find the idea of a raspberry-flavored Earl Grey to be a bit strange: raspberry is not a flavor that I would think of going well with Earl Grey tea.

This blend works, however. I don't like it as much as a regular Earl Grey, but it's really not bad.

The flavor is moderately bitter, and the base tea has some strength. The bergamot presence is also moderate, not overwhelming, and the raspberry is just the right amount to contrast and bl...

Review of Coconut Chai Black by Anne

I really enjoy this tea. The coconut lifts the aroma into something really special, and rounds out the warmth of the other spices. Chai always feels decadent, but this to me feels extra-decadent. I do wish it were a little less pricey.

Review of Earl Greater Grey by synth

note: the tea i'm reviewing is labeled as 'uplifting earl grey.' i am assuming that they've recently changed the name to 'earl greater grey.' when i see the new version around, i'll give it a try. i'll update this review if the new version is a different product.

aroma: strong, pungent, citrus. they have infused the tea with a proper amount of bergamot oil.
