I think this tea smells really good in the package! I wish my whole house would smell like this! It's a basic black tea with a hint of cinnamon. Decent flavor.

Excellent Yunnan. Smooth clean flavor. Crisp with no after taste.

Feb. 17th, 2011
Another impressive herbal blend from Sacred Rose. This herbal tea bears a strange resemblance to sencha, both in the appearance of the brewed cup and its flavor profile.
Aroma is very balanced: a hint of peppermint, which lends a creamy smoothness, and a strong dried ginger presence (less like fresh ginger). The r...
Acai Matcha (Acai Matcha Latte) from Shanti Tea
Style: Flavored Green Tea – Region: ?????77 / 100 Aroma: 8/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 3/5
Feb. 16th, 2011
Making the tea, the cup of tea is much darker green than I have seen matcha get. It is a sweet smelling tea.
The tea is not as bitter as some matchas that I have had. The Acai berry that has been added to the tea makes it a little sweeter. The tea is sweeter sort of with a tangy after taste to it. It doesn’t t...
Pomegranate Oolong from Harney and Sons
Style: Flavored Oolong – Region: ?????60 / 100 Aroma: 5/10 Flavor: 2/5 Value: 5/5

I probably would not have chosen to buy this tea on my own, but I had the opportunity to sample it. Even though this is not the sort of tea I usually like at all, I am impressed. I am especially impressed with the quality of the base tea.
This is a fruit-flavored oolong with a greener Tie Guan Yin as the base. I ...
Yunnan Golden Bud from Life in Teacup
Style: Yunnan Gold – Region: Yunnan, China70 / 100 Aroma: 7/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 3/5
Feb. 15th, 2011
The initial aroma is malty and deep, typical for a Yunnan gold, but with more fruity qualities, especially of dried fruit. Upon drinking the cup, the aroma becomes more fruity and vegetal, sharing some of the wine-like qualities of a Keemun with some of the vegetal qualities of some Darjeeling, even Darjeeling oolong ...

This tea was outstanding but I did not find that it fit its commercial description. I don't notice any wood-like aroma nor would I describe this tea as brisk. It shares many characteristics with a highly tannic Assam, but it is smoother, with little bitterness or astringency.
Aroma is mostly of sweet, dark dried f...
Mother Earth Zest® from Sacred Rose
Style: Herbal Tea – Region: Blend70 / 100 Aroma: 7/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 3/5
Feb. 10th, 2011
Smooth aroma with a hint of a candy-like quality, but not overwhelmingly so. Fresh, but not crisp. Just the right amount of peppermint. A hint of sage.
Flavor is smooth.
This is an impressive blend. My only complaint is subtle: most of the blend consists of highly broken leaves, whereas the sage consists of l...
Wild Sweet Orange from Tazo Tea
Style: Herbal Tea – Region: ?????80 / 100 Aroma: 10/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 2/5

Though the taste is a bit strong - this tea is really different from the usual herbal tea and very pleasant.

Like Tazo Passion, I find this tea far too sour. Anne describes this as "without the sting of a zinger" but honestly I found it obscenely sour just like those teas. I don't like it! I think they've added citric acid to this one just like with Tazo Passion.
In terms of the aroma, I do really like it. It's very or...
Country Peach Passion® Herbal Tea from Celestial Seasonings
Style: Fruit (Herbal) Tea – Region: ?????83 / 100 Aroma: 8/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 4/5

This is a great fruity tea. It is very light and so I can drink several cups of it. Sometimes I use tea bags multiple times and this tea is not very good for that but otherwise it is delicious.

This tea really surprised me!
The mix of fruity and malty aspects really pulled it together.
Dark chocolate, rose, black currant, vanilla, wheat, oak and cocoa are just a few of the descriptors I used!
MateVana Herbal Tea from Teavana

A very smooth blend, but bordering on bland. I can see this as being vaguely coffee-like only in the most remote sense: the flavor is very mellow and smooth, unlike coffee.
I notice rooibos and cocoa, and a little bit of spice...it suggests cinnamon even though I don't see that listed in the ingredient list. Light...
Chamomile from McNulty's Tea & Coffee
Style: Pure Chamomile Tea – Region: ?????73 / 100 Aroma: 6/10 Flavor: 5/5 Value: 4/5
Feb. 7th, 2011
Clean tasting: there was little of the muted bitter aftertaste that I often find unpleasant, and little sourness. Slightly crisper than a typical chamomile. Aroma lighter and more floral than usual. Medium strength, perhaps a bit on the weak side.
Very pleasant and I would recommend this among loose chamomile tea...

Even with a small quantity of leaf, this turned out nice and rich.
Aroma is typical for a sencha: grassy, and somewhat vegetal, with some mild toasty tones. The cup is a rich golden color. There's a fair amount of sweetness, and some pleasant bitterness and astringency. An above-average sencha with a classic char...

It smells very smokey right out of the package. Must have quite a bit of Keemun. This tea is perfect for today- I have been alone with my small kids for a few days, and I’m exhausted and also feel a cold coming on. This tea is perfect to wake me up, and also comfort. While trying to watch the kids and steep tea, I ov...

The leaves are gorgeous! the dry leaf smell reminds me of very strong dried fruits, such as dates and raisins. maybe a little goji berry, too. I also get a whiff of sweet tobacco, like what my father used to smoke in his pipe when I was a girl. The taste is very interesting, slightly caramel-y, and i’m also getting t...

This one really surprised me. I sampled it side-by-side with Yorkshire's traditional blend (their flagship tea) out of curiosity. I myself am highly skeptical of decaf tea.
It's not as good, I'll say that straight up. But...it's by far the best decaf black tea I've tried yet. It is even better than a number of c...
Yorkshire Tea Traditional from Yorkshire Tea

A lot of people seem to compare this to PG Tips, so I will continue the tradition. I will say, the two teas definitely are in the same style: a strong English-style breakfast tea. But, hands down, this tea absolutely toasts PG Tips, in spite of the fact that it came in a normal, flat tea bag, and the PG Tips I've had...

Surprisingly smooth; this blend definitely has a flavor and aroma distinctly different from straight rooibos, but because both the rooibos and sceletium have a mostly earthy character, it's hard to tell where one ends and the other begins.
The aroma is very earthy and warming, and the flavor is exceptionally smooth....
Nilgiri Select Black Tea from Wegmans
Style: Black Tea – Region: Nilgiri, India70 / 100 Aroma: 6/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 5/5
Jan. 24th, 2011
This was my first Nilgiri tea. I have heard Nilgiris described as being similar to Ceylon and I can see this. It's definitely more similar to a a lower-elevation Ceylon than it is to any other Indian tea I've tried. I don't notice much high-grown character in this tea.
I also think it's reminiscent of a Hubei Kee...
Cacao Mint Black Tea from Teavana
Style: Flavored Black Tea – Region: Blend83 / 100 Aroma: 9/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 4/5

The texture of this tea is so smooth and thick you tend to forget you're drinking tea. It kind of resembles a mint hot chocolate. Its sweet without adding sugar, and it can be a bit heavy.
