Tamayokucha from Two Leaves and a Bud
Style: Tamaryokucha (Guricha) – Region: China57 / 100 Aroma: 4/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 3/5

I am a big fan of green teas and tried this one today. It is a bit bland tasting, but that's kind of how green tea is in general. I thought it tasted better than it smelled. I would say this tea is about average. I would drink again, but not necessarily choose it if there were other teas to drink.

Served in Teavolve.
I don't know exactly where this tea comes from, but it was more like a Chinese green tea than it was like other green teas I've had from the Himalayan region (Nepal, Darjeeling, etc.), although it definitely had some of the vegetal tones in the aroma characteristic of these teas.
The flavor wa...
Darjeeling Autumnal from SerendipiTea
Style: Darjeeling Autumnal Flush – Region: Darjeeling, India67 / 100 Aroma: 7/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 3/5
Jan. 11th, 2011
The tea produces a nice golden cup. It has a strong astringent taste, and of course the muscatel that I've grown to love from Darjeelings. While it has the distinctive Darjeeling aroma, it does not have any delicate floral notes. the leaves are nice and large, and you don't need much to get a dark full bodied cup. The ...

I love this tea and drink it every day. I actually have it in loose form, which is great since I can decide how strong I want it, and I usually take about a tablespoon and steep it twice, the second time having a very pleasant liquorice-type flavour.
This is my first tea review, thanks for reading. :)
Cinnamon Plum from Republic of Tea
Style: Flavored Black Tea – Region: Blend77 / 100 Aroma: 7/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 4/5

Very nice tea. I like drinking it to start off my day sometimes. Def taste the cinnamon. Plum, not so much. But the cinnamon taste is not overwhelming.

Based on what I know of these two herbs, I would not like to consume this tea on a regular basis, but it was interesting to try. Thanks to Marlena for providing this one.
The aroma was rather strong and has many different components. Even though the blend is mostly Rooibos, the other herbs lend a very strong aroma...
The People's Green Tea from Republic of Tea
Style: Green Tea – Region: ?????60 / 100 Aroma: 6/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 3/5
Jan. 7th, 2011
This tea is a bit weak compared to other brands of organic green tea. Altogether it has a pleasant aroma, and a good taste throughout. There are no unpleasant aftertastes at all. My only complaint is that it seems a bit weak, and as the last reviewer said, doesn't taste very fresh.

This is a very mild Assam. It is super smooth and has no bitterness whatsoever. To me it tastes like malty, liquid honey. It is super sweet, thick, and smooth. It has a sweet smell, similar to a raisin or apricot, with a slight tobacco aroma. When I taste it however, the only flavors that come through for me are the...

I'm a fan of PG tips for mornings when I just want a quick cup of strong tea to wake me up. It has a strong, malty aroma, that translates through to the taste as well. it has a slightly bitter flavor, similar to english breakfast. There is a slight frutiness as well. a very basic morning tea.

I used to live in the UK and became addicted to hot tea. Now that I am back in the states, I drink more coffee than hot tea but I still have a nice cup of PG Tips in the evening. Sure is good!

The aroma of this blend is transient, which I suspect is due to the artificial flavorings. The aroma of the cup is strong, spicy, and suggestive of sweetness, before it touches my tongue, but upon drinking, the aroma seems much weaker.
The flavor is smooth, with a fairly strong natural sweetness due to the cinnamon...
Yorkshire Gold from Yorkshire Tea
Style: Black Tea – Region: Blend60 / 100 Aroma: 6/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 3/5
Jan. 4th, 2011
Brewing for about 4 minutes yields a nice rich golden color and a malty scent. Nothing fancy about the taste, but it's just what I look for in a quick breakfast (or early afternoon) tea- slightly bitter, malty, with a faint hint of fruit on top. This is of course a tea that would do well with a drop of milk and some su...

I'll start by saying I'm new to white teas, so I do not know exactly what a typical white tastes like. But the large leaves have a beautiful honey aroma that also came through after steeping. I could smell another slightly woody/nutty flavor, but couldn't identify it until I read the package "Pure White Tea with acc...

Each tea bag is a 'pyrmaid infuser'. It is a good way to let the tea breathe a little bit, and spread out. The leaves have a lovely sweet floral scent. I steeped the tea for the 4 minutes recommended on the box. The tea has a faint floral fragrance, along with a hint of that Darjeeling muscatel. These aromas translate...

Out of the package the tea has a lovely light floral scent. Not very strong, but immensely pleasing. I steeped the tea with freshly boiled (but not boiling) water. This resulted in a beautiful bright yellow/green liquid that had a light sweet smell. The taste is best described as light, yet full of flavor at the sam...

This tea is pleasing. It has a sweet aroma with a smooth, toasty and nutty flavor. similar to Hojicha but without any green vegetal taste. It is very soothing. It also is reminding me of something from my childhood, but I can’t put my finger on what it is. I think it’s a tea we used to have at a Chinese restaurant ...

Love this tea, and I drink it hot, with a little skim milk to cut the tannin. It has a wonderful aroma, and the flavour is fruity, but not sweet. It truly tastes of peach, which is a perfect match with the ceylon tea flavour. I have also used Paddington's Peach and Pickwick peach tea, which are also good, but harder t...

I'm not crazy about Shu Pu-erh; this one was better than average though. The single-serving size of these tuo cha's is very convenient.
Brews a blackish brown, like black coffee. Aroma is earthy, but with more nuance that I'm used to in shu Pu-erh. There's a creamy quality and a hint of a savory, chicken-soup lik...

This is the first medium-roast Dong Ding I've tried; prior to trying this one I've only tried the lighter roasted styles of Dong Ding, or medium-roasted oolongs of other styles. I like this one very much.
I did not have much leaf and only had one opportunity to brew this once, using multiple infusions, but the resu...

This surprised me; it's a whole-leaf tea with relatively large leaves; a few of the leaves are broken or torn but most are intact.
Fruity and floral aroma, even perfumey, with a slightly smoky finish. Gentler than any other Earl Grey I've had. The flavor profile is similar to a high-quality Jasmine, but the aroma ...

Definitely a chocolatey aroma with spicy undertones. I like the addition of the black tea to boost the spicy tones. I drink it with a splash of milk and no sweeters. Perfect.

Peach Oolong (Peachy Oolong) from Adagio Teas
Style: Flavored Oolong – Region: Taiwan / Formosa73 / 100 Aroma: 7/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 4/5
Dec. 23rd, 2010
Ironically, this tea is significantly less peachy in aroma than a number of pure (unflavored) oolongs I've had, including Adagio's own Dancong Aria.
The aroma is mostly of roast, and the roast is quite heavy. The base oolong really reminds me a lot more of a Chinese oolong than one from Taiwan. A hint of woody ton...
