Organic Ginger Tumeric Herbal Tea from Trader Joe's
Style: Herbal Tea – Region: ?????90 / 100 Aroma: 8/10 Flavor: 5/5 Value: 5/5
Nov. 6th, 2016
This is a very good tea. The teabag has fannings that infuse very quickly. The aroma and the lingering flavor have the ginger/turmeric spiciness -- which is wakening yet soothing. This makes a particularly good drink for a brisk fall day. Though the second steep takes longer, it's also very good --better than many tea ...

This isn't the strongest or brightest peppermint tea, but it is real smooth and it hits the spot. No bitterness is detectable. I like peppermint far more than spearmint, so I was happy to see this in my sister's cupboard when visiting her. I'm currently in the middle of gestational diabetes, so I'm just excited to be a...

Berries and hibiscus tea go together so well. The bold, tart flavor is delicious, and the fruit cuts what might otherwise be sour by adding more flavor and sweetness. This is a very well balanced herbal tea, in my opinion. I've only tried this tea hot so far, but it sounds perfect for chilled teas too. My only complain...

This is a green tea with various herbs and spices added. In my mind teas supposed to be medicinal taste cluttered. The flavor isn't bad (lightly of vanilla and sweetish herbs), but it isn't for me. I tried this one because it was sent as a free sample.

Meh. It's not a badly done tea, but it's not a flavor I'm often into. The orange and herbaceousness both come through. Not bad if that's a taste mixture that appeals to you, but orange isn't my favorite fruit to drink hot. Still, the cup has grown on me a bit while I've been drinking it.

I actually really like this tea. The ginger gives it just the right kick when you're craving something with a tart spiciness. This herbal tea is pretty solid, in my opinion.

This herbal tea is pretty good. I detect a little bitterness, but the vanilla helps. It's a pretty smooth drink, and it made two decent cups. People who really like chamomile will likely enjoy this one.

Excellent herbal tea! The flavor and aroma are both dominated by pineapple and coconut--both of which I like. It's delightfully fresh and sweet without sweeteners. I do wish that the flavor was more intense, so I'll try a higher concentration next time. It brews easily without going bitter, and so can brew as long as ...

Not bad. The spices before brewing smell delicious, but their flavor is more muted in the drink. Both the spice and the chocolate are a bit more understated than I would like. I think I've been spoiled by hot chocolate when it comes to judging chocolate tea.
Certainly worth a shot, but still not the chocolate tea of...
Organic Pure Green Tea (Premium Green Tea Organic) from Bigelow Tea

Surprisingly, I found this one acceptably enjoyable. The tea was nothing dazzling, but it wasn't bitter (after steeping briefly) and I got two cups out of it. The second cup was weaker, but still decent. The fannings infuse quickly, so you don't need to keep the bag in for long. I found this in the cupboard of a friend...

Not bad, but a bit too dominated by licorice (aroma and flavor) for my taste. Spicy, sweet, and best as a latte in my opinion. It doesn't go bitter easily, thankfully.

I remember drinking tea like this in Japan. It was never my favorite, unfortunately, but this didn't seem to be a bad sample of it. It has a sort of baked-like flavor that can be very hit or miss with me. Adding honey helped.

Quite solid tea. I only tried it straight, without milk or sugar. I suspect it'd be even better with milk and perhaps sweetener, but it's pretty good on its own. Cinnamon is definitely the strongest spice I smell. Decently substantial flavor without bitterness. If you're needing a cheap decaffeinated chai, this one isn...

Oooh, tasty! A non-caffeinated chai that's a lovely balance of spicy and sweet, with enough complexity to be interesting. It tastes like a red hot candy without the heat. It should be a dessert tea, I think. Easily the most impressed I've been with Celestial Seasonings so far.

I accidentally brewed this one near boiling, forgetting it was a white tea. I suspect this is why the first sip tasted a little bitter. I fixed this with just a bit of sugar, making it suddenly a near-perfect cup. I like this one even better than the ginger peach black tea! Also, this may be the first flavored white te...

A decent, keeps-it-simple vanilla rooibos. Loose leaf would definitely be better, but this is solid for a tea bag. You definitely need to be in the mood for a dessert tea, though. Good if you want a substantial, rich, after dinner drink that won't give you a buzz.
I tried it with milk added for the second cup. This ...

As with all tea bags I've tried from Republic of Tea, I recommend a short steep with this one. Less than a minute works fine. You get plenty of flavor, no bitterness, and a serviceable (though weaker) second cup.

I tried this tea again today, and have decided to redo my original rating rather than simply update it.
Okay, the smell is very nice--fruity without being excessively intense or artificial. The black tea provides body and the slight zing of caffeine without making the tea bitter. I didn't steep it long and I think t...

Hmm, this tea is quite interesting. I'd call it my second favorite chamomile-based tea so far (after the Lemon Chamomile by Numi). The flavors added are sweet in a rather creamy way, and it tastes pretty good--not amazing, but solid. There is none of the bitterness I often associate with chamomile.
However, very odd...

Not the best hibiscus tea I've had, but quite solid. The hibiscus and lemon are both there without one overpowering the other. When you want a moderately tart tea that isn't very expensive, this would be a good choice. I enjoyed both Tropical Hibiscus (by Simply Balanced) and Passion (the full leaf version, by Tazo) b...

For the second time since I began recording here, I found a green tea that tastes good but that causes a tickle/tension in my throat. I won't be getting this one again, but if you've never had an (allergic?) reaction like this, then it's a good sencha to try.

Compared to a few similar teas I've had in the past, this is the best so far. The toasted rice flavor is mellow and smooth, and I actually enjoyed it! This isn't my favorite style and I can't see myself craving it often, be it's very drinkable.

Interesting tea.my first few sips were my favorite. It has a smoothly lemony flavoring that isn't abrasive or sour, and it blends well with the green tea and mate. However, the cup gradually became more bitter, presumably due to the dust at the bottom of the cup. If you can filter out the dust or if you like some bitte...

Finally got to try a chocolate pu-erh!
Okay, this one was pleasant, but I feel like there are likely better versions out there. I can see why pu-erh can make a solid base for this kind of tea (the fish cake flavoring of it is muted by the chocolate), but it seems like the balance or the robustness of this one would ...
