The aroma is leafy, like fresh vegetation, this fades to vanilla sweetness and a nutty tone. At the end of the sniff the aroma is sweet and a touch floral. I do not smell much in the way of tamarind, but it has been a long time since I sniffed any.

This tea is discontinued for teavana, If you prepare the tea with a litlle sugar of rock sugar (without sugary the flavor of the infusión) taste delicious.
Also without sugar taste sensational.

The aroma of the dried flowers is very evocative of straw flowers or chrysanthemum, slightly woody. The aroma of the liquid still has the woodsy quality but also brings in slight mineral and mossy.

Creamy, but with a bold quality to it. Somewhat Darjeeling-like in aroma, but darker in appearance and flavor than most second-flush or autumnal Darjeeling.

A vaguely Darjeeling-like tea with dark, vegetal and herbaceous aspects. I'm noticing a trend amongst all of the teas I sample from Rare Tea Republic. This tea surprised me. I didn't think I'd like it much based on the smell of the dry leaf, but I like it a lot. It has a nice smooth, sweet flavor. I added cream and sugar.
