Nice mild earthy aroma. The liquor brews to a light amber (5 mins). Nice mild OP taste. Easy to sip. For me, it would be too mild for sugar or cream. Classic Ceylon.

I have ordered this tea many times over the years, and am surprised I did not rate it yet. In the past it has been a well-priced and full-flavored tea experience, and a go-to when I wanted something malty and smoky, with a little milk and no sugar. My most recent purchase of it was less enjoyable. This time a harsh,...

Thanks Dewey for sharing this with me! This was a smooth, mellow, mild green tea that was easy to brew and enjoy.
The leaf of this smells very fresh, a sort of sweet fragrance, almost floral, typical of high-quality, tippy Chinese green teas. It's pleasant but also hard to anticipate how it is going to taste, so I w...

This tea is really good! It’s aromatic and bready smelling which I like. The taste is really smooth and it has a complex flavor with slight bitterness but in a good way! This is a really enjoyable tea!

Murchie's carries so many different tea blends that it takes a long time—years, at a normal tea-drinking pace—to get around to trying most of them. I wish this one had landed on my porch sooner! This may be the richest, smoothest, fullest-bodied all-black tea blend of theirs, or anybody's for that matter, that I'...

This tea is pretty smooth and easy to drink, however it is a bit boring and doesn’t have a super strong aroma. I’m still giving it a highish score just because it is a comforting tea to drink and it doesn’t have any outwardly negative qualities like being too harsh or astringent.

This tea is so good!! It smells nice and has a good flavor but with none of the harshness or bitterness that tea sometimes has. It’s really smooth and bready but still interesting and fragrant

This tea is really good! It has a bready and raisiny aroma it tastes very smooth and somewhat chocolaty. My one complaint is that it’s very slightly astringent in the aftertaste.

I found this a pleasant tea to drink but it was not among my favorites. It was surprisingly different from its organic counterpart. Of the two, I strongly preferred this one.
The leaf is tightly rolled and quite beautiful. Compared to the organic version of this tea, it looks a little paler in color and slightly loo...

The aroma is a medium woodsy. Dark, twisted leaves. The liquor, after a five minute steep, is a very dark brown. Flavor is good, with a mild spicy after taste. This tea will be added to my regular rotation. Easy to sip all day.

Beautiful large leaves. The aroma is wood and spice, not pronounced. The liquor is a medium amber after a 5 minute steep. Taste is clean with a slight malt after taste. I'd say this is a good tea for sipping. For me, no sugar or milk needed.

Murchie's developed this blend to commemorate their 125th anniversary (1894–2019), and I hope it sticks around.
A blind taste test might elicit a reaction like this: "Really nice black tea blend, but I can't quite place this interesting flavor it has under that." The black tea solidly dominates the green in dry-b...

This tea was quite singular, unlike most of the other teas from Yunnan Sourcing. I thought it was a good tea but it was a bit too much for me. It's strong, both by flavor and caffeine. I am reviewing the Spring Harvest from 2020.
This tea took up a lot less space than most all the other Yunnan Teas I've tried. The d...

This was a straightforward tea that I found easy to like; I became a fan from the first sip. It's robust, easy to brew, easy to drink, and pleasing in both flavor and aroma. Overall, it is more flavorful than aromatic though.
The dry leaf is beautiful, a very bright yellow color, not as orangeish as many of these ti...

This was a really enjoyable tea that also had a lot of depth and complexity.
The dry leaf is made exclusively of luscious, thick, fuzzy buds that are kinda rolled on themselves; the picture does not really do it justice. Although it seems to be pure buds, they look a bit more mature than on some tippy teas, and they...

This was a robust green tea that was challenging to brew, but rewarding when I got it right. Thank you to Dewey for sharing this one with me!

This tea heavily underwhelmed me, and particularly, it was too weak. My favorite aspect of it was the fragrance of the dry leaf, but after that, it disappointed me.
The dry leaf has an unbelievably potent and incredily pleasing aroma. To me it seems more malty than anything else, strong smells of grain and baked goo...

Landing at a Trader Joe's store in Tucson while on a photography road trip out thataway, I bought a box of this, as a presumably acceptable substitute for some of the truly terrible, off-brand and store-brand (here's looking at you, Great Value) bagged green teas offered at motels and campgrounds. It was, but still fa...

Another Murchie's mix marches out of the box and firmly into fond appreciation, this one in a traditional but growing group that honors assorted British royalty. I’m not too crazy about this tea… I wouldn’t drink it again unless someone served it to me. It has a weak aroma and the flavor is too bitter for me, it also has a somewhat “damp basement” flavor. It’s not the worst tea ever and it definitely is still edible but I wouldn’t go out of my way to drink this ag...
