Green Tea from Alghazaleen Tea (Do Ghazal)
Style: Green Tea – Region: ?????55 / 100 Aroma: 5/10 Flavor: 2/5 Value: 5/5

I couldn't resist the 500 g box, it only cost €4.50 so it's extremely cheap. With such bulk teas from Turkish shops I have sometimes gotten lucky, sometimes not.
This one is drinkable, I guess. It's just very finely broken so I have to be really careful not to oversteep it, it easily gets unpleasantly sour and bit...
Gunpowder Green Tea - Temple of Heaven from Numi Organic Tea
Style: Gunpowder Green Tea – Region: ?????75 / 100 Aroma: 5/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 3/5
Nov. 28th, 2017
Got this at the cafe at the St. Louis Museum of Art. Gunpowder tea in a bag seemed a little strange to me. I steeped for two minutes. It was pretty good. No qualities that jumped out at me, just a decent cup.

I should preface this by saying before discovering twinnings, the only teas I were used to were the walmart bargain brands. So, my expectations were exceptionally low. I had just seen that it was the most expensive Green Tea at walmart, and being one that enjoys Green Tea for it's health benefits, I figured i'd try the...

Several bags of this tea have been sitting around my pantry for up to a year after bringing them home from a professional conference, occasionally consumed either alone or teamed with a bag of peppermint. Finally I'm thinking to rate it!
Where I grew up, a troublesome percentage of fellow youth sniffed glue, paint ...
Gunpowder Green Tea - Temple of Heaven from Numi Organic Tea
Style: Gunpowder Green Tea – Region: ?????66 / 100 Aroma: 7/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 3/5

The "Temple of Heaven" needs a smoke alarm; it may be burning down.
This was my next new-tea attempt from a Numi variety pack, and mostly it's a good, clean, smooth, hearty cup. The tightly rolled nodules unfurl into the biggest leaves I've ever seen inside a tea bag, larger than those of many loose-leaf teas I've ...
Green Tea from Ten Ren Tea
Style: Green Tea – Region: ?????72 / 100 Aroma: 5/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 5/5

After reading the reviews here and needing more office tea, I went to a local Ten Ren store looking for Dragon Well in the tea bag. They had it in loose form only at $150 a pound. They directed me to the Asian market next door where they did have the Green Tea.
Just finished a cup and it's like what you all wrote. A...
Natural Green Tea from Western Family
Style: Green Tea – Region: ?????53 / 100 Aroma: 5/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 4/5
Aug. 23rd, 2017
Obtainable mainly in assorted supermarkets across the West, this store-brand green tea tasted about average for a bagged green tea—placing it somewhat above-average for generic/store-brand teas overall. The dry leaves in the bag were quite finely chopped, but still identifiable as leaves! Some stem pieces appeared ...

This is a tea I've been drinking after coming home from work. It's OK. Seems to have a very dark color, close to black tea. Not much flavor so I always put a spoonful of honey in this.

Effective price at Aldi's just increased 25% via shrinking the packaging. A box of 20 Benner green tea bags now contains only 30 grams of tea instead of the 40 grams it used to contain.
Walmart sells Uncle Lee's green tea bags at half that cost and is a much better deal for a comparable product.
Green Tea Decaffeinated from Twinings
Style: Green Tea – Region: ?????30 / 100 Aroma: 4/10 Flavor: 2/5 Value: 1/5
Apr. 4th, 2017
This is one of the weakest decaf greens that I've tried. It brews up with a darker color than even many caffeinated teas, but the flavor and aroma remind me of dry hay. It tastes and smells slightly vegetal, but is nondescript and uninteresting.
I'm actually surprised that this tea is so bad. Twinings isn't exactly ...
Green Tea Decaffenated (Classic) from Bigelow Tea
Style: Green Tea – Region: ?????60 / 100 Aroma: 6/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 4/5
Apr. 3rd, 2017
It's apparently easier to decaffeinate green tea and still have some flavor than it is black tea. One thing I've learned about decaf greens, though, is to use hotter water than one would for the caffeinated varieties. Conventional wisdom for green tea is to use cooler water and shorter steeping times to keep from cooki...

I love the quality of the wellness products available at Mood & Mind.
So a while back when I found that they offered a few teas, I immediately ordered their Houjicha.
I was not disappointed. Roasted leaves and twigs smell subtle but also rich.
Brews up a nice brown color with flavors that remind me of Autumn. ...

This is a really nice green tea. Pretty mellow throughout, but with a nice crisp finish that sets it apart from other types of greens. Nice clean mouthfeel, not much lingering going on. I get a nice quenching feeling I find uncommon with a hot cup of tea.

Nothing offensive about this reasonably prices and ORGANIC tea that you can pick up in a grocery store for under $5. Convenient bags. No issues.
Update 2019: Look for Steep by Bigelow Organic Pure Green tea also. Good value for a bagged green.

Blah. This is another cheapie-green tea that will do in a pinch - or during times of desperation. There are way better teas on the market. Super cheap. Taste moderately vegetal and green - a good bit of astringency. Must be allowed to steep for 3-4 minutes.
Basic. Cheap. Fair.
Sencha Green Tea from Dilmah

I actually like this one. Extremely mild and brews up rather pale...but the flavor is perfect for a Sri Lankan interpretation of Sencha.
I do not know the region/province this one was grown in, but unless stated otherwise on their packaging...Dilmah packages only Ceylon (ie the country/origin of Sri Lanka) teas.

This green tea is somewhat interesting in both good and bad ways. The flavor reminds me of a Sencha, sort of...but considerably more "dirty" and "fishy" and "harshly herbal" than the better varieties of that style. Astringency reminds me of certain black teas when even slightly over steeped.
When I do drink it (...

This has been my go-to, everyday green tea for a while now. Not as good as others I've tried, but I always keep it on hand since it is readily available at the local grocery store.
On the box it is mentioned that this tea is sourced from a fair trade garden in China, so it does appear to be a genuine Chinese gunp...

As many others have said, it's not really a bad green tea. It's just so mediocre in every respect.
If I only had this tea and no other, I would certainly drink it though...it is tea after all :)
I steeped it for 2 1/2 minutes.
Sencha Green Tea from Dilmah

I did not like this at all - no matter what water temperature and brew length I used, the green tea had that oxidised 'fishy' taste. Substandard green tea.

This tea is basic, not much of an aroma, plain flavor but a good value. Definitely don’t leave the teabag in too long or the taste is bitter.

Surprisingly, I found this one acceptably enjoyable. The tea was nothing dazzling, but it wasn't bitter (after steeping briefly) and I got two cups out of it. The second cup was weaker, but still decent. The fannings infuse quickly, so you don't need to keep the bag in for long. I found this in the cupboard of a friend...
