Lemon Twist from Twinings
Style: Lemon Black Tea – Region: ?????70 / 100 Aroma: 7/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 5/5

When I was a teenager, black tea with a slice of lemon was what you were served in most restaurants around Miami when you asked for a cup of tea. Nothing fancy, usually not anything very memorable, and usually some off name brand that the restaurant bought at a deep discount. It was more of something just to accompany ...

Taking my fangirling out of the picture for this review, because I have a very distinct idea of what Butterbeer should taste like and I don't want that to skew things. The aroma is intensely like Rootbeer, which would be great if I liked rootbeer, which I don't. Once brewed it takes on a creamy note and a slight hint o...

I loathe mint tea and this one is no exception. Reminds me of a mild mouth rinse in tea form. Grossness.

This tea was not what I was expecting from the name. It sounds delicious but it was pretty mediocre. The box comes with 20 bags so I eventually began making big batches of iced tea with it to try to finish it more quickly. I don't think I'll be repurchasing. I am still on the look out for the perfect vanilla tea. This ...

very good lemon zest smell, taste falls a bit flat though...the lemon-y-ness definitely becomes more mild and I wish it didn't quite so much...however, this seems like a good tea for when you're sick!

Had the K-cup version of this tea (sweet peach black tea) but drank it hot...strong but good...quite peachy....and quite bitter but not too bad.... a little sugar should make it even better! Already a bit sweet though too.

The first thing that struck me about this tea was the aroma, this might be the first Earl Grey I have sampled where you can smell the tea under the Bergamot. So often with Earl Grey I can never get a feel for the tea's aroma because I am too busy being kicked in the face with Bergamot. The aroma is fantastic, smooth an...

This is my favorite loose-leaf tea. Right out of the package, the scent is wonderful, a sign of good things to come.
I have not found a peach blend that so perfectly balances the peach flavor with that of the black tea. It's a nice, strong brew, with a definite peachy tinge. The scent is equally pleasant, smellin...

This was the first Earl Grey I ever had, and so I cannot help but compare every Earl Grey since with this one. Probably a bad habit, as this is not an exemplary blend.
The overall flavor is pleasant, mild, and unobtrusive. The scent leaves something to be desired, as does the strength. As Earl Greys go, this one ...

I can't stand Earl Grey - and yet I have tried many of them. Sometimes I try when I am at a convention or hotel or in an office or deli that carries Twinings. In this case they were all out of the other kids of teas and it was this or coffee - so I gave it a go (hot with a bit of splenda). Not as good as some I've t...

Yech! I am not an Earl Grey fan to begin with and this one not only has synthetic Bergamot notes (Think limonene from a lab!) it is also decaf and not worth drinking. Sorry, Twinings, but this bagged tea is not my fave at all! Stash makes a better one - but I hate that, too.
Earl Grey - it's just not my bag!

Not a fan of Bieglow Teas - but my old company had them and Lemon Lift was better (to me) than the dreaded "Constant Comment" - an orange/spice. Just OK. Not a fan. I actually like the I love Lemon herbal tea (which is a tisane and contains no tea at all) a bit better when I have a cold. This is a step about Lipton...

Love this and the decaf one. Lightly scented of Ginger - but a wonderful peachy top-note without that "artificial" peachy taste. Love this one - and I don't usually do black teas.
This might be my favorite tea ever!

I enjoyed the strong flavor of this tea and thought that it was a good brew. The only thing I was a little disappointed about was the smell. The smell of Bergamot is one of my favorite things about Earl Grey, and this tea didn't deliver. I liked the tea overall, and look forward to trying other styles from Twinings.

I like the aroma of this tea, but it reminds me a little bit of those buttered-popcorn-flavored jelly beans. I can't brew it strong enough. I kind of like the flavor, but it also seems kind of bland. I added cream and sugar.

This tea smells quite delightful, very spicy and evocative of autumn and pumpkin pie! The blend of spices is really lovely and you can smell them all.

I don't usually like fruity teas, but this was an exception, especially because of it's subtle flavor. I'd advise anyone who wants a strong fruity tea to steer clear, but for those like me who usually find them too strong, I'd fully recommend it.
