Blackberry Mojito Green Tea from Teavana
Style: Flavored Green Tea – Region: Blend73 / 100 Aroma: 8/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 2/5
Jul. 9th, 2014
I love this tea - fruity (berry notes) and a hint of mint. Excellent iced - no need to sweeten - but I sometimes add a bit of splenda. A terrific summer treat. So popular now that Starbucks makes a "clone" using sugary syrups. I like to brew it myself at home from the Teavana store (pricey stuff). Even my kid will...

Now THIS is what a blended green tea should taste like! Love the fruitiness. I tried this twice, once hot and once iced, and both times it was excellent. It was prepared for me at a local coffee shop, so I can't give recommendations on steep time, but I'll be sure to ask them next time I get tea there.
Very smooth, ...
Blueberry Purple from Butiki Teas

Method: 3/4 tsp, 160 degrees, 8 oz, 5 minutes, Forlife brew in mug strainer, Dr. Who mug
Dry Aroma: Lovely scent of blueberries
Brewing Aroma: Same as above
Flavor: The blueberry is present, which I enjoy, but the tea has a bitterness that I don't care for. This is my 2nd try today. The first time it was...

Zen Full Leaf from Tazo Tea
Style: Flavored Green Tea – Region: Blend63 / 100 Aroma: 6/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 3/5

If you're in three mood for a lightly minty green tea, this one isn't bad. The flavors are smoother, subtler, and more harmonious than their herbal mint tea.

I finally got a chance to try something from DavidsTea, but...erm. Eh. This is not my cup of tea. More like the spice is wrong, and the price is wrong too.
I opened the bag, and the dry leaf smells just like cinnamon, if I really concentrate, I get a hint of orange, nothing else...completely overpowering any smel...
Peach Jasmine Dragon Pearl Green Tea from TeaVivre
Style: Fruit Green Tea – Region: Fujian, China80 / 100 Aroma: 7/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 4/5
Jun. 3rd, 2014
Wow. An excellent flavored tea for once!
I was intrigued to try this tea, in large part because TeaVivre tends to focus on traditional unflavored teas.
The leaf has a strong aroma of peach, and I notice little else, neither jasmine nor the base tea, but the peach smells rich and natural, like dried peaches rathe...
Rooted Raspberry Tea from Positiffitea
Style: Flavored Green Tea – Region: Blend80 / 100 Aroma: 8/10 Flavor: 5/5 Value: 3/5
May. 23rd, 2014
This is the first time I've really enjoyed a flavored green tea. More often I prefer my green tea pure, but the raspberry in this works really, really well. It's the kind of tea I could see becoming an "everyday" type with me. The aroma was pleasantly fruity too.

Style: Genmaicha – Region: Blend77 / 100 Aroma: 8/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 4/5
May. 19th, 2014
This tea has the unmistakably roasty smell of genmaicha. It's made with ancient rice, brown rice and rice pops. The flavor is very good and I had a nice, warm fuzzy feeling as I was drinking this. That lasted until I read my emails at work and lost my happy tea buzz.
The tea was very enjoyable. Work is not.
Citron Green from Adagio Teas
Style: Fruit Green Tea – Region: China87 / 100 Aroma: 9/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 4/5
May. 15th, 2014
The aroma is primarily a blend of sweet oranges and sour lemon with a nice artichoke finish. The aroma of citrus always puts me in a good mood, it is like sunshine on a cold day, I smell it and I cannot help but smile.
The taste is both light and bright, it quenches the thirst and brings a feeling of happiness. A gr...

I'm so bummed about this one. The dry leaves have a sharp chemical smell, and the brewed tea just tastes off to me.
When brewed for 30 seconds, the aroma smells like bandaids. Then a little floral, like jasmine. Then minty bandaids. When I taste it after 30 seconds: bandaids
30 more: floral bandaids

Artichoke Green from Adagio Teas
Style: Flavored Green Tea – Region: Blend80 / 100 Aroma: 8/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 4/5
May. 6th, 2014
I would love it if someone could explain how the dry tea smells like a cherry and a grape had a baby in a field of newly mown grass.
And the wet leaves smell like more of the above, plus cranberry.
And the actual tea tastes like sweet grass. I was really expecting more of a veggie broth kind of taste.

Almond Green Tea from Kusmi Tea
Style: Flavored Green Tea – Region: China63 / 100 Aroma: 7/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 3/5
May. 6th, 2014
This was ok. The smell was really good, and I can taste the almond, although it's definitely a mild flavor.
The green tea base is a little grassy, but I guess that's normal. The almond was enough to balance it. Does this taste like almond grass? Kind of. But I would say the almond is first, then grassy almond m...
Cherry Green from Adagio Teas

I think I should have tasted this before trying Adagio's Cherry Black Tea. I drank the black tea first, so the green never stood a chance. I love the black tea, so it's now the standard against which I compare all cherry teas!
The scent is pleasant, but not as strong. Once brewed (3 min), it just tastes very (ver...
Organic Green Tea Soothing Ginger from Simply Balanced
Style: Flavored Green Tea – Region: ?????53 / 100 Aroma: 4/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 4/5
Apr. 29th, 2014
With this tea I notice distinctly but subtly the flavors of both green tea and ginger. There has to be better ginger green teas out there, but this one isn't bad. I don't know what kind of green tea they used, but it doesn't seem like a messy blend the way that Tazo's version of this tea did. I bought my 20 bag pack fo...

I was really hoping for better. I think the fact that it's a green tea blend rather than a specifically chosen variety of green tea may have been part of the problem. It's a bit of a mess without any clear standout flavors, imo. I didn't notice any specific pear flavor, and even the ginger was fairly muted rather than ...

This is a truly fascinating tea. It's from Numi's Savory Tea line and I really wasn't sure what to make of that. A savory tea?
I received a sample tea bag and was pleasantly surprised. This was steeped for about 3 minutes and was consumed without sugar, cream, etc.
This doesn't taste like tea, but it's definitel...
Toasted Walnut from DAVIDsTEA
Style: Flavored Green Tea – Region: Blend50 / 100 Aroma: 6/10 Flavor: 2/5 Value: 3/5
Apr. 28th, 2014
DAVIDs Toasted Walnut tea smells great, but the flavor is lacking. Before and during steeping, the sweet scent is quite pleasant. To me, it smells like baking cookies.
I steeped the recommended amount for around 3 minutes to start, and had a little test sip. The flavor was very weak. I let it brew for another ...
Cherry Blossom Rose Organic from Capital Teas
Style: Flavored Green Tea – Region: Blend27 / 100 Aroma: 3/10 Flavor: 1/5 Value: 1/5
Apr. 8th, 2014
A disappointing blend that just didn't seem to work. This was one of three samples my parents received as a gift. I had the opportunity to sample them recently.
One of my mild pet peeves is when a company labels something "cherry blossom" and then it tastes like cherry fruit, rather than blossoms.
I opened the ...
Genmaicha Green Tea Whole Leaf from Ten Ren Tea
Style: Genmaicha – Region: ?????73 / 100 Aroma: 7/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 4/5
Apr. 5th, 2014
An above-average genmaicha, with a bolder green tea presence and less rice. The base tea is smooth, fruity, and less vegetal than typical for Japanese green teas.
The dry tea bag, which is a flat paper bag filled with relatively intact whole leaf tea, didn't smell great, but as soon as I poured water over it, a ver...
Zen Full Leaf from Tazo Tea
Style: Flavored Green Tea – Region: Blend70 / 100 Aroma: 7/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 3/5
Mar. 25th, 2014
Of all of Tazo's teas, I think this one is the most changed from the flat tea bag version to the full leaf version. It's vaguely recognizable but I find, while I hated the old version, this was quite pleasant to drink.
The first cup, which I steeped about 2 minutes (and it was plenty strong) was a rich golden color...
Blueberry Green Tea from Republic of Tea
Style: Fruit Green Tea – Region: Blend40 / 100 Aroma: 3/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 1/5
Mar. 23rd, 2014
I must preface this review by noting that I tend not to like blueberry-flavored anything. Why am I trying this then? I like trying new things, and I periodically like trying things that I'm expecting not to like, because sometimes I am surprised.
With this one, I wasn't surprised.
The tea bag (and brewed cup) h...
Peppermint Ginger - Christmas Blend from Timothy's
Style: Flavored Green Tea – Region: Blend37 / 100 Aroma: 4/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 1/5
Mar. 23rd, 2014
Thank you Kelsey for giving me this one.
The tea bag is pretty flat and aromaless. Upon brewing though, a light peppermint aroma comes out, relatively mild. The base tea, which I think is a green tea, actually really comes out in the aroma. It smells sort of like an okay but not great sencha.
I can barely noti...
Apple Meadow (Formerly Green Apple) from Bare Tea
Style: Fruit Green Tea – Region: China60 / 100 Aroma: 6/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 3/5
Mar. 22nd, 2014
An impressive tea--not the sort of blend that I tend to ever like, and I found this quite pleasant.
I found it really interesting that Bare Tea released an apple-flavored tea, since I thought their masala chai actually had an uncanny apple flavor to it. This tea does remind me a bit of that one.
I tend not to li...
Laoshan Apothecary Green from Verdant Tea
Style: Flavored Green Tea – Region: Shandong, China77 / 100 Aroma: 8/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 3/5
Mar. 19th, 2014
The blend of herbs is a blend of savory and faintly sweet with sharp notes of mint. The mint and basil are the most prominent notes with a finish of coriander and fennel.
The taste of this tea is pleasantly savory, blending strong herbaceous notes with cooked spinach. The herb bread analogy from earlier is holding ...
