Tangerine Peel White Tea from TeaVivre
Style: Fruit White Tea – Region: Fuding, Fujian, China80 / 100 Aroma: 8/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 4/5
Sep. 7th, 2016
My first tasting of this tea was in my gaiwan with about 3 grams of tea and 2 grams of tangerine peel. I did a 5 second rinse then 3 infusions. The aroma was sweet and citrusy to begin with. The taste was light, oily, buttery, and smooth with slight orange/tangerine flavors. The second and third infusions became sweete...

I thoroughly enjoyed this tea, all the way from the beautiful tea leaves to the aftertaste. I wanted to try Tai Ping Hou Kui due to its intriguing leaf shape. It is definitely something different, unique, and extremely interesting. I fully enjoyed watching the leaves steep as the softened into long leaves.
The arom...
Fengqing Ancient Tree Spring Chun Jian Raw Pu-erh Cake Tea 2012 from TeaVivre
Style: Pu-erh Tea – Region: Fengqing, Yunnan, China83 / 100 Aroma: 9/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 3/5

This was my first experience with Raw Pu'erh, so this review may be biased on that.
I was initially opposed to this tea. It has an overwhelming bitterness to it that seemed to distract from the other flavors. However, after steeping the tea for a much shorter time (only 10-15s in my gaiwan) I managed to balance out...
Organic White Peony (Bai MuDan) Tea from TeaVivre
Style: White Peony Tea – Region: Fuding, Fujian, China83 / 100 Aroma: 8/10 Flavor: 5/5 Value: 3/5

Very nice tea. I enjoy white teas, especially silver needle, but that can be expensive for daily consumption. This tea, on the other hand, is more affordable and has that distinctly white tea taste. It is not as sweet or smooth as silver needle, but it is nevertheless very light, delicate, and simple.
I prepared 5g ...
Organic Hangzhou Tian Mu Qing Ding Green Tea from TeaVivre
Style: Green Tea – Region: Zhejiang, China87 / 100 Aroma: 8/10 Flavor: 5/5 Value: 4/5
Jun. 26th, 2015
My first impression of this tea reminds me of a mild dragonwell. It has a very light liquor (almost clear) while somehow still having a full mouth of flavor and a wonderfully pleasant aroma. The taste is very vegetal, and reminds me of cut grass with perhaps a hint of spinach. The taste is light, refreshing, and coolin...

This is a very vegetal tea, but at the same time, not overwhelmingly so. In a way, it is your stereotypical green tea, that tastes like vegetables and has a slight bitterness to it. If you like green tea, however, it is an excellent everyday tea due to it's very affordable price.
First, the aroma is very smooth. It...
Xin Yang Mao Jian Green Tea from TeaVivre
Style: Mao Jian Green Tea – Region: Xinyang, Henan, China60 / 100 Aroma: 6/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 3/5

Although I like green tea, this is not one of my favorites. Although it seems to be of good quality, the taste is not for me. There is a strong vegetal flavor as well as a bitterness present throughout that I am not fond of. That being said, the aroma is very pleasant with a strong vegetal smell. It seems to be a good ...

The first observation I had of this tea is the wonderful deep and even color of the leaves. The aroma of the dried leaves is very pleasant and slightly vegetal. After steeping, I noticed that the color is very light, but the aroma and taste is more bold than expected, with a strong but still pleasant and smooth taste. ...

This was my first experience of this variety of tea, and I was very pleased! The aroma is wonderful—very fruity and sweet. The taste was also very sweet and delicate. There is strong floral and fruity notes while still having a hint of vegetation. Nothing too strong, just very mellow and smooth. It is almost like a c...

This was the first tea I ordered from Teavivre. I was very pleased when I opened the package to be met with the strong grassy and sweet smell. It almost smells like a freshly mowed lawn in the spring. The leaves were of good quality, with almost none broken.
After brewing my first pot, I was pleased with the very v...
