This was that. I didn't expect a store-brand bagged version to be one of the best jasmine green teas I've had. Whomever made this for Safeway did not skimp on either the potency of the tea or on the jasmine infusions, which scented the tea quite well for both aroma and flavor. Bonus: as I found out by accident, it tolerates long steeping (10 minutes plus) nicely without getting overly bitter. Yet even a normal time of around 3 or 4 minutes will yield good r...

Review of Chung-Hao Special Grade Jasmine by Trailesque

This is a lightly smoky, jasmine flavored, dark green tea. The floral flavor is noticeable, but not very strong. It is well-balanced and not bitter, with a hint of ginger flavor. This is a good choice if you want a reasonably priced jasmine tea that is not overly floral.

Review of Asian Jasmine 100% White Tea by spaflam

I enjoyed this slightly floral (jasmine) and very white, simple tea. Very good on it's own - I prefer it hot. Not enough body for an iced tea. I did add a bit of maple syrup to it, but it is fine unsweetened, too. I like it.

Review of Jasmine Tea by Trailesque

I have been seeing this tea around for years, its mustard-colored tins are commonly available in Chinese food shops. My most recent container of it seemed fairly dry and grassy, with less jasmine flavor than it had in the past. Or perhaps my tastebuds may have changed a bit over time. As a budget priced jasmine tea, it is pretty good, but as you might expect, nothing special.

Review of Jasmine Dragon Pearls by Tea Reviewer Jeremy Ng

A very fragrant tea and consists of tea leaves and a fair amount of buds. The jasmine aroma balances well with the green tea base. The tea soup has a nice creamy texture. The value is decent, there are cheaper jasmine teas out there, but not at such quality.

Review of Green Tea with Jasmine Tea Bags by Brytta Sóþword

This is remarkable for a bagged tea. I tend to expect a mediocre tea in certain kinds of bagged tea. As a general rule, I think the delicacy flavors of jasmine green tea is a challenge to get right if it isn’t loose leaf or tea pearls, but this is an impressive cup. I managed to get two cups out of it. while the second cup had weaker flavor, it still tasted nice — the flowers and tea were both present without bitterness. Overall, this is a surprisingly good cup for this kind of tea.

Review of China Wuyuan Jasmine Organic by Mr Bamsen

Half-litre pot at home, made from a sample included in the tea company's Advent Tea Calendar (2020) and consisting of leaves of green tea. Pours clear straw (against white china) with no sediment. Clear aroma of green tea, with very mild hints of fruit. Delicate, yet distinct flavour of green tea, with notes of jasmine needles. Mildly astringent palate with a leafy aftertaste. A very pleasant tea. Normally I prefer other styles to pure or jasmine green tea but this one is good. Reasonable price, given the ...

Review of Jasmine Phoenix Pearls (Jasmine #12) by Lexi

This tea has a beautiful jasmine smell and taste. You have to really love jasmine to like this tea; as the other reviewer mentioned, the jasmine aroma and taste is very overpowering, even with minimal steep time. I really enjoy this tea. It reminds me a great deal of Republic of Tea’s Twilight Rose, which is a chamomile tea. I like that this green tea offers some caffeine while providing a relaxing experience. The jasmine pearls were absolutely beautiful. I purchased a sampler and will probably repurc...

Review of Jasmine Tea by Tchuggin' Okie

One of my kids gave me this for Christmas, having bought it at an Asian food store for an unknown price, so I'm basing the value rating off the mostly reasonable online costs for a 120g tin. The packaging of this tea confused me a bit at first, as it was branded just like one of the same title on RateTea, but in a tin that looked a lot different. Fortunately the prior reviewer offers a great explanation of the discrepancy. For the record, I've added a photo of the opened, Sunflower 2060 "red tin" versio...

Review of Jasmine Pure Tea Bags by Tchuggin' Okie

This was a peculiar yet pleasant jasmine-tea experience, stem to stern. The jasmine scent in both the dry bag and steeped cup were stronger than the tea, and than it asserted in the flavor. Instead, the flavor overall is very well-balanced between jasmine and tea. That's good, because the green tea tastes like a very rich, robust, earthy, vegetal variety that expresses itself well in the presence of a strong floral element like jasmine.

While drinking, I noticed that the floral and green-tea balanc...

Review of Jasmine Tea by Difflugia

I'm not entirely sure how to understand Chinese branding, but "Fujian Tea Import & Export Co., Ltd.," itself a subsidiary of "China Tea Co., Ltd." seems to be a state-run company that handles international trade for a number of smaller Chinese tea companies in the Fujian province. This jasmine tea is further branded with the "Sunflower" brand with the number 1030. There's a similar tea, number 2060, in a red tin that appears to differ only in the address of the specific producer or business unit.

The aroma is sublime. The color is very light golden straw. The flavor is soft, fragrant, not bitter at all. Compared to Harney and Son's "Jasmine" and "Organic Jasmine" the Dragon Pearl Jasmine is more subtle and elegant. Excellent served hot, but also quite elegant and very refreshing iced.

Review of China Jasmine Da Zhang Select Organic by Trailesque

An attractive tea with a nice scent but it lacks jasmine flavor. The hand rolled pearls open gently as it brews. The taste is delicate—not as grassy or as floral as a few of the other jasmine greens out there. Nice tea that is smooth and easily drinkable.

Review of Organic Jasmine Green Tea by Evertiro

I'm not sure what I was expecting from this tea, but it isn't what I expected. I did expect a floral aroma, and I got one. It smells like jasmine, but not JUST jasmine. It almost seems like a jasmine/dandelion blend to me. Similarly, the flavor isn't a true jasmine, and certainly isn't what I expect from a green tea. It could be the aroma, but for whatever reason it tastes more of a dandelion than jasmine. It's not a bad tea, just not what I expected. I'll happily drink the small supply I have, but doubt I...

Review of China Jasmine by Plowboy

Buddha teaches all things in moderation. This tea fits the bill. The jasmine is just right, not overpowering, not hidden. It's a nice tea for reading, or studying. I got this as a sample in my last MTW order and will order it again. I like it.

Review of Jasmine Green Tea by Alex

I got this before I got into loose leaf tea, otherwise I wouldn't have bothered. As with most cheap jasmine green teas, it smells better than it tastes, but that's especially true for bagged jasmine. It has a sour vegetal flavor that barely resembles a decent loose leaf green tea. I used a few bags to scent some gunpowder, so at least it wasn't a total waste.

Review of Premium Jasmine Dragon Pearls Green Tea by ConradKay

An amazing tea, somewhat soapy(probably due to steeping error), but the taste is excellent, and it smells amazing, but that is typical of a jasmine tea. This tea is very expensive, and I didn't see much improvement over other jasmine pearls.

Review of China Jasmine Green Tea by Trailesque

Here is a mediocre jasmine tea from Upton, which does offer some better ones. The base tea is not very interesting, and the flower aspect is not the best. It is still drinkable tho, and it does smell nice. It is called "China Jasmine" on the website but the label reads "Jasmine Green Tea." Offered at a low price.

Review of Yin-Hao Special Grade Jasmine by Trailesque

Very tasty, with a light, green smokiness blending with the sweet, floral flavor. Luckily the tea itself doesn't taste as sharp. Strong jasmine taste, but not too strong, a little sweet. It kind of dries the mouth, though.
The used leaves don't look too pretty; quite broken with lots of stems, but that's probaby normal for jasmine. (The same goes for the dry leaves, for that matter.)

I don't have an extremely discerning taste in flavoured teas; I just wanted a tea that...

Review of Jasmine Dragon Phoenix Pearls Green Tea by ConradKay

I received this tea as part of a tea trade(4 ounces of this) for free, and am really enjoying this. I'd say it tastes very similar to Harney and sons' jasmine pearls with a slightly less dominant jasmine taste. The aroma is amazing and is almost purely jasmine. The flavor is sweet and of jasmine but can turn bitter/soapy when higher water temperatures/ over 3 minutes steeping. The value is pretty terrible considering the tea is almost $200 a pound, while Adagio, Teavivre, and Harney and sons each have simi...

Review of Jasmine Dragon Phoenix Pearls Green Tea by sue

I became a tea lover a few years ago.. my son introduced me to Teavana stores and my love of this tea. It has a smooth, delicate jasmine aroma without the bitterness. It piques my senses. Has a regal, elegant taste and doesnt cling to the palette. Blends well with fruit teas like mango and other citrus fruit.

Review of Dragon Pearl Jasmine by ConradKay

Firstly, this tea reminds me of the garden section of the home depot. Almost a clone of the smell(or I'm smell hallucinating). The aroma is extremely nice and is of course very jasmine. The flavor is amazing and has an undertone of a golden osmanthus oolong taste. Other than that, the jasmine taste is very smooth and strong while still being gentle. It tastes airy and has an extremely sweet taste. If it weren't for the price, this tea would be a solid 100.
Edit: It seems extremely hard to get the steep te...
