About Foojoy

Box of Foojoy Green Tea BagsChina Green Tea, in a 100 tea bag box, is Foojoy's most popular product.
Foojoy is a brand of Chinese tea owned by the Eastrise Trading Corporation.[1] Eastrise has an address in Baldwin Park, CA and another in Industry, CA. Although some websites refer to the Foojoy Tea Company, we found no evidence that a company by that name exists. Foojoy's teas are widely available in Asian specialty stores. All of their teas are from China. While their teabag teas are most widely-known, they also sell loose-leaf teas. Foojoy has one of the widest selections of Chinese styles of tea among brands that are widely available in retail stores.

Foojoy has at least four separate lines of teas: their basic tea bags are widely stocked in Asian markets in large boxes 100 teabags, although smaller boxes are sometimes available. Much less widely distributed is a line of premium pyramid bags or sachets, available in metal tins for a much higher price.

The company carries two separate lines of loose teas; one is available in square metal tins, and another is available in round canisters.

Foojoy does not currently sell directly online, but their loose-leaf teas are available for purchase online through the Mark T. Wendell Tea Company, as well as from a variety of other sellers.

I bought a box of 25 tea bags in an Asian grocery store. The bags are individually sealed in foil and filled with finely chopped pieces of tea. Upon opening the foil pouch, the tea smells recognizably as a roasted oolong.

The brewed tea is unremarkable, but it tastes quite nice. It has a mild bitterness that is bala...

This is a very nice tea. Small black leaves with some gold strands. It brews up light color, brown/black, very clear. It has a nice peppery taste with a decent caffeine kick. Very nice in the afternoon.

This is by far the best tea I have tasted. It has a smooth, delicate jasmine aroma without the bitterness. It piques my senses. Has a regal, elegant taste and doesnt cling to the palette. Blends well with fruit teas like mango and other citrus fruit.

For such a cheap tea it's really good, it's very aromatic and flavorful. It's very interesting and has a lot of character. The smell is kind of a weird burnt smokey smell which I actually really enjoy, and the taste is consistent with that smell. The taste is very smokey and warm and thick so it's a very comforting tea...

As mentioned in a previous review, the 100 tea bags in the box aren't sealed in any way, so the first thing I did upon opening the box was to put the bags into an airtight cannister.

The initial aroma of the tea reminds me of damp oak leaves with a hint of maltiness. The flavor is tannic and astringent, but is so mi...
