These teabags are strong, with a generous quantity of leaf. The roast is noticeable but light, and this hojicha has a fresh, crisp quality, more like green tea. It's not terribly complex, but overall, I think this is a very good tea that offers outstanding value, especially among teabags.

This tea comes in individually wrapped packets, and it keeps for a considerable amount of time. The first box I purchased cost $3.89 for 20 tea bags with 1.48 oz,whereas the second was 1.99 for 16 packets with 1.13 oz. I presume some difference may be attributed to currency fluctuations.
