This photo shows tea plantations in Shirakawa, a village in Gifu prefecture of Japan. The tea is planted in neat, round-topped rows that can be seen on the left of the photo. To the right, slightly downhill, some other crop is growing in a field, showing a lighter green color.

In the distance, dense forests with lush, dark green growth, topped by conical evegreen trees, line a hillside. At the very rear of the photo, a single mountain rises up against a blue sky with scattered white clouds.
