Draught of Peace from Adagio Teas
Style: Flavored Black Tea – Region: Blend73 / 100 Aroma: 9/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 4/5

The leaves themselves have a very deep vanilla smell and, when brewed, it changes to a subtle fruity aroma with a nutty hint. It's not as bitter as I expected it would be without sugar - you can definitely taste the apricot. It's not bad exactly, but it is sort of a let down. Two teaspoons of sugar bring out the vanill...

The tea itself smells deliciously like vanilla, and once brewed has a very subtle apple scent. It’s actually quite pleasant without sugar, which is rare for me to say. It’s fruity with a barely-there, bitter aftertaste. I personally prefer sweeter teas, so I added two teaspoons of sugar, and, honestly, this is such...

Purchased in a German Supermarket, Rewe.
Dry leaf is intensely aromatic, with a strong bergamot aroma, and some malty quality from the black tea.
Brews up a dark-colored cup that is less aromatic and less potent than suggested by the smell of the dry leaf. Oddly muted. Aroma is mainly bergamot, with only a hint...

Looking at the dry tea, I was surprised that the black tea was in the form of little nuggets, rather than rolled leaves like I'm used to. Upon further reading, I think this is probably due to CTC processing (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crush,_Tear,_Curl).
The scent of the dry tea is VERY spicy and rich. I think t...

The aroma is creamy sweet and floral, with notes of vanilla and cocoa, with roses, lavender, and a hint of oranges and malt. It is super rich and sweet, bordering on decadent.
It starts out with vanilla and roses, then moves to lavender and chocolate, with a finish of brisk oak wood and oranges. None of the notes c...

The dry leaves smell like an autumn evening sitting next to a crackling fire while eating s'mores! There are notes of smoke, cinnamon, marshmallow sweetness, and a finish of rich cocoa. The leaves smell quite rich and not overwhelmingly sweet, just the way I like my desserts!

Now THIS is my kind of Earl Grey. Love the aroma. The flavor is at once sweet, citrusy, and deliciously floral--all blended perfectly into a beautifully soothing, must-be-experienced tea. The black tea provides body, but imparts no bitterness at all. Just perfection. :-)

Free in my office circa 2014. This "decaf" black tea with a hefty dose of citric acid (lemon juice?? I think not.) is available and drinkable but I would not go out of my way for it. We also have Bigelow's "Classic" green tea in the office. It's a step above Lipton-kick-your-ass black, but that's about it. No big w...

I haven't tried a lot of decaffeinated black teas, but I'm starting to think I may prefer them. I haven't tried the regular version of this tea yet, but I appreciate that it doesn't have the bitterness I commonly associate with some black teas. It tastes fruity and fresh, and smells wonderful too.
Though it's made o...

Amazed how good this cheap ($2.99 for a box of 24 bags) bagged grocery-store tea is. Not quite as good as the Republic of Tea's version - but much less money and perfect for what I needed it for (A local PTA meeting). Stash teabags are perfect when you need to provide tea bags for a crowd and offer a decent quality b...

One of my favorite Earl Grey teas that I take with me when I travel. It has such a nice aroma and clean, soothing taste. You still taste the Ceylon black tea base and aren't overwhelmed by the bergamot flavor.

black tea with equal parts tropical fruit smell...brewed on the higher end of both leaves and time brewed...taste is more bitter than I was expecting...and less fruity, but fuller flavor. Mostly black tea taste here, with a hint of fruit. (NEXT TIME BREW 5 MINUTES INSTEAD OF 6?)

Woo! That Earl packs a punch! Very strong bergamot and what seems like a mild note of lemons hiding under the bergamot. Not an unpleasant potency, it would be perfect as a wake up aroma. I often amuse myself by comparing a good Earl Grey to Victorian smelling salts, it would make a better fainting remedy I think! The a...

The aroma reminds me of truffles (the chocolate, not the mushroom...I know, weird for me to not be talking about mushrooms) rich chocolate and strawberry truffles with a sprinkling of espresso, it pulls to mind a very specific truffle a friend of mine made, they were quite decadent. The aroma is intensely sweet, perfec...

A sealed tea bag, served at a Unitarian Church in North Philly. This is the first tea I've tried from Eastern Shore tea, and, for a humble tea bag of flavored tea, I was impressed.
The base tea is strong and has a distinct character of its own, and the fruit flavoring is very subtle. I don't notice much blueberry,...

The aroma smells pretty varied, there are notes of roses, delicate peaches and apples, a touch of citrus, a bit of woody rooibis, a tiny bit of tart hibiscus, and lastly a sweet malty and caramel finish. It does not really smell like a crisp, but it does smell sweet and fruity, so I enjoy sniffing it.

Considering that I'm not often crazy about Earl Grey, I was pleasantly surprised by this tea. I managed to not overbrew it, and so I found it fairly smooth. I can distinctly taste the bergamot, which I like. It's true that it isn't a particularly complex tea, but with a bit of creamer it's a perfectly respectable way t...

Not bad, but not my type of tea. The bergamot flavor is very muted and I do taste some bitterness (even though I tried to prevent this with a relatively short steeping).
For my second cup I added hazelnut creamer and this improved the tea immensely. So if you like a creamy tea, this isn't a bad base, but as a genera...

The aroma is very much so creamy sweet vanilla, bright bergamot, and malty black tea. Not very complex, but still very nice to sniff.
The taste is not bad! It starts out brisk and lemony, just a touch of bitter like lemon pith, this very quickly passes. Afterwards we get a nice, creamy vanilla and malt taste, it is...
