About BlendThis category is for teas which originate in two or more different tea-producing regions. Some tea companies identify the sources of the teas in a blend, such as when blending Assam with tea from Kenya; other times the companies simply state that the tea is a blend. In a few cases, we have chosen to list teas in this category even when unspecified by the manufacturer, if it seems highly likely that the tea is a blend, such as for flavored teas or herbal blends that contain ingredients that are typically not grown in the same country.
If a tea is a blend of two teas from the same country, we list the tea as originating in that country. For example, a blend of Chinese and Indian teas would be listed in this category, but a blend of teas from the Yunnan and Fujian provinces of China would be listed under China.
