Commercial Description
Genmaicha is a traditional Japanese green tea. The lovely vegetal green flavor, indicative of Japan's steaming process, is balanced by the nutty flavor imparted by the roasted rice. The combination becomes and earthy tea that is as soothing to the soul as chicken noodle soup.

This tea was developed by the "lower" classes in Japan, to stretch out the expensive tea. I'm not usually a fan of Japanese greens,but I like this one because the toasty, popcorny, nuttiness makesa great combination with the greeniness of the tea itself. I think this is better than many I have had of genmaicha
