Commercial Description
Honeybush is gaining popularity as a caffeine-free alternative to decaffeinated teas. This unfermented version, which is higher in anti-oxidants than traditional Honeybush, has an invigorating aroma and flavor notes of citrus and sweet apricot. Steep for 5 to 10 minutes.

Upton replaced this with an organic-certified batch of green honeybush. To our knowledge it has been the only company selling green honeybush for nine or more years.

I find this tea very hard to describe in words.
The aroma of this tea is very similar to that of regular (fermented) honeybush, although perhaps a bit lighter: it is warm and rich, similar to Rooibos but less grassy. The flavor has some crispness but not much bitterness. There's little sourness in the initial flavor but a little tanginess in the aftertaste. Pleasantly lemony...it almost tastes like it has lemon peel in it.
Interesting for a change of pace. I didn't like it the first time I tried it, but it grew on me a lot.
