Darjeeling (Sachets) from Hampstead Tea
Style: Darjeeling Black Tea – Region: Darjeeling, India93 / 100 Aroma: 10/10 Flavor: 5/5 Value: 5/5

I really enjoyed this tea! I found it's aroma and taste to both be floral, light, and a bit sweet. As someone who usually sticks to english breakfast or earl grey, I found this delicate flavor refreshing. I drank it with milk, but I think it would have been perfect with a touch of honey. I even steeped it slightly long...

I wasn't impressed with this tea and found it quite bitter, which was a bit disappointing since I like so many other teas by Arbor Teas! I don't have any complaints about their pricing or the scent of the tea, which was average, but I didn't like the taste at all. After finding the flavor to be too sour and strong on...

I like this tea. It smells kind of smoky. The flavor was a little bland when I first tried it, but started tasting more flavorful as I was drinking the cup. I added cream and sugar.

This tea is interesting. It tastes a little watery, but it has a kind of strong flavor. I'm not quite sure how to describe it. I added cream and sugar.

My favorite ever green tea was a long-leaf green from Makaibari estate. This is a very different tea, and alas, I did not enjoy it quite as much, but it was still a very good tea.
I find this tea tastes more like Chinese green teas than most green teas I've tried from India; it reminds me of some Sri Lankan teas ma...

This tea is pretty good. It's smooth. I added cream and sugar. I found it confusing that it was listed as a sachet when it's really a teabag.

I always get excited about Makaibari estate and I have not yet been disappointed. This was among one of the smoothest, creamiest teas I've tried from them. It has less bite than the first flush.
Aroma of the dry leaf is suggestive of monsoon/rains teas.
Upon brewing, the aroma becomes much more complex.

I fell in love with Hampstead tea's loose-leaf Darjeeling some time ago, and it was not before picking up some samples at World Tea East this year that I had an opportunity to try any of their tea bags.
This is called a "sachet" but it's not a pyramid bag--just a humble tea bag. The tea inside is pretty broken up, ...

Color me spoiled, addicted, imprinted like a baby duck. This was the first single estate Darjeeling I ever sampled and nothing else has ever come close to the golden Muscatel notes (the very apotheosis of the trait), and summery, so-second-flush hints of dark dried fruits, nuts and spice with just the right touch of wo...

I tend to love everything that comes out of Makaibari estate, and this tea is no exception. I still think I prefer their first flush and long-leaf greens, but this was another very good tea, and people who like darker black teas might actually prefer this one.
A fairly complex Darjeeling. Powerful grape-like aroma...

Dry leaf has a mild herbaceous aroma, and a dusty appearance.
Produces an olive-green cup. Crisp, clear flavor, with honey-like qualities. Aroma is mild, dominated by melow herbaceous tones. Flavor is clean and the tea has a cooling quality. I found its flavor grew on me a bit. Produces two very flavorful infus...

The dry leaf of this tea has the greenest color of any second flush Darjeeling I've ever seen. When brewed, the result is rather oolong-like.
Color is a light amber, lighter than most 2nd Flush Darjeeling. Very clean, crisp, mouthfeel, with considerable sweetness. Slightly edgy and tangy but with little astringen...

I really enjoyed the smell of the dry leaf of this tea, although any aroma was lost after brewing. I thought the flavor was good and I didn't think it was as bitter as other brands I've had, such as Two Leaves and A Bud. I'm also a big fan of this tea being organic and fair trade.

This tea was stored in glass jars in a co-op. I have no idea how fresh it was; the dry leaf smelled fresh and pleasing, but the brewed cup was slightly disappointing. The storage conditions were not optimal, and there was no date, so it could have been that this was just a bit old.
Dry leaf is pleasingly aromatic,...
Ooooh Darjeeling from Adagio Teas
Style: Darjeeling Oolong – Region: Darjeeling, India70 / 100 Aroma: 6/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 4/5

The scent of the leaves is delicate to me– slightly sweet and earthy, but I didn’t really taste either of these once brewed. Ooooh Darjeeling is unlike any oolong tea I’ve had. It doesn’t have that earthy aroma like most oolong teas I have tried. Instead, it tasted more like a black tea but not as strong and wi...

While I believe this tea to be slightly overpriced, I was impressed by how strong the tea was based off of the amount of leaf used. For the amount spent on a small box it's possible to brew a good amount of tea, so you get more for you dollar.

This is without a doubt one of the best teas I've had. It is just an extremely satisfying tea. I have finally noticed that when I really like a Darjeeling, no matter what flush it is, it comes from Arya Estate. It has been a while since I had this, as I ran out and am waiting for this year's to come in. Therefore,...

This tea has a distinct peachy flavor that I think I've tastes in other Darjeeling teas, and I don't like that flavor in teas. It has a little bitter aftertaste, which I don't like either, and it doesn't have a very strong black tea flavor that I usually like in strong black teas. It has a nice, interesting aroma, thou...

I initially liked the flavor of this tea, but the longer I sipped it the less I found it appealing. As time passed and I continued drinking it, the flavor became more and more bitter and left a heavy taste ...

A dark, smooth, full-bodied tea with a highly vegetal character and a pleasing, wintergreen quality.
Fairly complex...much less of the typical fruity tones characteristic of Darjeeling. Instead, there are biscuity-tones. Rare Tea Republic describes the aroma as "jam and sap" and I think this was a good description...

Darjeeling first Flush Puttabong Estate- When infused, the saddle brown leaves give off a pleasing aroma of fruit and wintergreen. The flavor is rich and balanced with fruit notes that linger in the finish. I will give 74 /100. Almost an Oolong type.
