Long enjoyed in France as a digestif, this aromatic, lemony herb is especially suited to accompany meals. Contains no caffeine.

Less similar to lemongrass or lemon balm than you would expect from the smell of the dry leaf, which smells almost identical to lemongrass. The brewed tea is mellower, and yet richer, warmer...less fresh tasting, and has an almost bread-like quality in the aroma, sort of yeasty. Sweet and a tiny bit tangy.
The overall experience of drinking this is very different from either lemon balm or lemongrass...people who like lemony teas and want a change of pace might really enjoy exploring this alternative! It seems pricey to me, but maybe that's because it's competing against the endless supply of lemon balm in my garden.
