Ultra Spice Chai from Twinings
Style: Chai / Spiced Tea – Region: ?????84 / 100 Aroma: 9/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 4/5

The aroma is nice and spicy. I like the flavor as well. It was definitely present but not as intense as "ultra" might imply. I didn't sweeten it, but I think it could do well both sweetened or unsweetened depending on one's mood. Overall, this is a solid bagged tea!

This solidly fruity, moderately robust tea isn't bitter or overly tart and has a pleasant juiciness. It's very inexpensive, so if you like fruit teas at all it's worth a shot. Like other Twinings tea bags, it infuses quickly but is good for only one cup. Overall, I like it, but it'd be much better if done loose leaf --...

This isn't the strongest or brightest peppermint tea, but it is real smooth and it hits the spot. No bitterness is detectable. I like peppermint far more than spearmint, so I was happy to see this in my sister's cupboard when visiting her. I'm currently in the middle of gestational diabetes, so I'm just excited to be a...

Has a hint of baked flavor and no real bitterness, but it's a pretty generic cup. At $3 for 20 bags, the price isn't bad. If you're not picky about tea this one is likely worth it, but it doesn't stand out in any particular way.

Quite nice tea. Easily the best chamomile tea I've tried so far. Smoothly blends with the mint, and the tea isn't bitter or dominated by the chamomile. So apparently I don't mind chamomile when its bitterness isn't the main feature of the tea.

Meh. Again, I was underwhelmed by this tea from Twinings. Like their Earl Grey tea, I certainly appreciated the use of citrus to balance out the black tea. However, I found the overall effect unimpressive. I really need to try a high quality Earl Grey or Lady Grey tea to give these styles a fair shot. I'm glad I have a...

This was my first time tasting an Earl Grey tea. I definitely appreciated the bergamot orange balancing out the black tea flavor a bit, though it still wasn't enough for me to outright enjoy this tea. On its own, it was still too tanniny, or something (bitter isn't quite the right word). With food (I had fried eggs) it...

Though they ended up with the same score, I actually liked the Irish Breakfast slightly better than the English Breakfast from Twinings. Unfortunately, to say I "enjoyed" it would still be too strong.

I'm not sure if I'll ever be crazy about black teas. I got a sampler pack of Twinings black teas so that I could try out my tastes, and this one was the most *meh* to me. Neither the aroma nor the taste were my style. I think I'll bring the remainder of these to work for others to use.
