Illustration of Weasel Saying Weasel Words
This silly illustration shows one of the most common examples of weasel words: "Some people say that..." These verbal constructs are often used to present rumors, untruths, marketing material, or unreliable information in such a way that, if the listener or reader is not thinking critically, makes the information presented seem more reliable than it actually is.
Such constructs, usually not as transparent as the one here, are still common in the marketing of some tea companies.
