Tea Leaves in Basket Infuser Outside Teapot

This photo shows spent or used loose-leaf tea leaves sitting inside a basket infuser, next to a cast iron teapot. The basket infuser has no handle and only a very small rim, which suggests to me that it is probably one that came with a specific teapot.

Although I love basket infusers, I am not a fan of ones like this because they typically only work with a single brewing vessel that needs to be exactly the right width. If the vessel is any narrower, it won't fit, and if it's any wider, the basket will fall in. I prefer ones that have extensible arms so they can be used in teapots or mugs of various sizes.
