Closeup of Tulsi Plant (Ocimum tenuiflorum)
This photo shows a closeup of the tulsi plant, showing the tip of the stem where the leaves are growing rapidly. Note the hairy stem and petioles (leaf stems), and the distinctly serrated leaves. Although this plant is a close relative of basil and easily recognized as such visually, it does have certain distinct features that make it able to be told apart from regular sweet basil at a glance.
