strong black tea smell that's nice, flavor is weird! just like a weak coffee! with the raosted taste too...Haven't had a tea like this before! But not really good I suppose. Slight spice like cinnamon on the back end

Have you ever had straight Yerba mate? I rather like roasted mate, but it is a bit weird. I definitely like straight mate better than this particular blend though. I think mate and tea have very different flavors and I have never tried an example of combining them that I actually liked.
I also notice what you describe as a cinnamon/spice quality...it's a certain spicy quality and sweetness, which I like when it's on its own, but which I don't like as much when it is combined with tea.

no, I have never had this before... btw, I tried to add a new tea brand twice and haven't been able to yet...suggestions?
