A light-colored, medium-bodied tea dominated by the rose aroma.
Sampled at the Philadelphia Coffee and Tea Festival, another old review that I only posted now.
This blend's aroma struck me as all rose and no tea...the tea imparted only a mild body and richness, a slight flavor. The rose, however, dominates both the flavor and aroma. The oolong seems to be a relatively high quality, smooth, high-grown Taiwanese oolong...and while I love these teas, they're a bit subtle and I don't think this one really holds its own against the rose flavoring.
I don't notice the lemon as much, but this may be because I am not distinguishing it from the mild sourness or tang that rose petals usually have. The lemon certainly doesn't jump out in the aroma either.
I thought this good, but I think I would prefer either drinking a straight Taiwanese oolongs (there are good ones in this price range) or a rose-flavored green or black tea, probably one that used a less pricey tea as a base.
