Nice, relaxing flavor. Wishing there was more of a description on the box as to what region this "green tea" is from. I am a lover of tea but inexperienced in rating. I am skeptical about the "realness" of the tea unless Lindsay Gardens can provide more information.

Hello, and welcome to RateTea, and thank you for your first review!
I know exactly what you mean about not knowing what region this tea is from. This is one of my major issues with a lot of the companies that sell generic green tea. I've now reviewed over a thousand teas, and I've noticed a clear trend that the companies that provide more info about the tea's origin, also tend to sell higher-quality tea. Lindsay Gardens is a little bit of an anomaly in that it is incredibly cheap (and in many ways generic) but has a little better quality than I'd normall expect from this kind of brand.
Most generic green teas originate in China, but cheap green tea can be produced elsewhere, like Sri Lanka and a few other countries. I think this is increasing as green tea demand increases in the West.
One of the ideas behind RateTea was to highlight companies that provide more info about their tea. The site is classified by region, so if you hit the Region tab at the top, you can browse by region, to finer and finer levels of detail, like China --> Province --> County, or Japan --> Prefecture. Then if browsing teas from these pages, you'll only see the companies that sell teas specifically grown in these regions. A lot of the single-origin teas are only available in loose-leaf form, but some are available in tea bags too.
Let me know if you have any questions about the site, or about tea! You can reach me through the contact form on the site, or replying to a comment or my review, or any number of other ways on my profile.
I look forward to reading more reviews too if you want to share any!
